Those virtuous spiritual friends of the place, even with the status of a Buddha, would prostrate and circumamb three times during the day and three times during the night for the sake of the individual ordinary beings of the place. Thereupon, when the noble teacher Nagarjuna completely relinquished his life for the sake of the son of King Matrimitra, the noble teacher Aryadeva also relinquished his life in the same way and passed away to Sukhavati at the same time. What is the treatise that is composed? "Liberated from existence and non-existence, possessing existence and non-existence, the unchanging is the supreme liberation, the nature of mind is the place of liberation. Meditate on that which holds the wheel of conceptual thought. The nature of beings and things is called the name of wisdom." Thus it is said, and so on. Thereupon, liberation from existence is the absence of what is considered permanent, etc., as children imagine. Son of lineage, for him, the ultimate truth is that there is no movement of mind, let alone letters. Thus it is said, negating things, because things are another name for existence. "Liberated from non-existence" means that worldly nihilists are attached to extreme non-existence, thereby negating views such as karma and result, which is non-existence. Liberation from that means that in the conventional, things merely appear as illusions, therefore it is established that there is liberation from non-existence, and liberation is the absence of it. Therefore, possessing both existence and non-existence is well established. In the conventional, it is fully possessed of existence, and in the ultimate, it is fully possessed of non-existence, that is, in the ultimate, it is shown to possess the characteristics of non-existence. Although this is said in name, in reality, it cannot be measured by non-existence, because the negation of birth, etc., is also intended to be in accordance with reality. Because what is to be negated is not existent, in reality, there is no negation, no exclusion. Thus it is said. Moreover, that is also abiding in the conventional truth, negating the object of the ultimate truth, but in the ultimate truth itself, because there is no expression, there is also no name of negation, just as it is shown. If in the ultimate, it is devoid of both existence and non-existence, then why mostly use only non-existence to...

If asked, what is "showing"? It is because children are attached to things that have existed since beginningless samsara, and in order to eliminate this attachment, they strive greatly, so they mainly negate. Whatever does not exist is said to be "non-existent." Children use this as a sign of existence and non-existence. These two, existence and non-existence, are the nature of non-existence. Any Bodhisattva who understands this will surely realize it. Like this, they teach by praising "non-existence." In this way, when the attachment to "existence" disappears, will it not turn into an attachment to "non-existence"? It is not like that, because knowing that "existence" is false, one will surely know that the "non-existence" that depends on it is also false. Therefore, when one says, "There is nothing," if the object being observed is not clung to, then at that time, it will be abandoned by two kinds of conceptual thoughts. That is what is said. Therefore, these two fundamental realities, the wise ones of the world did not listen to others, but personally saw these two truths. What is conventional truth is also ultimate truth; there is no third truth. Thus it is said, and the two truths are well explained, so it should be known that this shows the unerring path of entry from the very beginning. As it is said: Whoever rides the vehicle in two ways, using the reins of reason to guide, they will therefore truly attain the fruit of the Great Vehicle. It is said like this. Now, in order to ride the chariot of the two truths and see the ultimate truth with the pure eye of wisdom, therefore, it is said, "The unchanging is the best of liberation," etc. The ultimate truth of the mind, which is naturally luminous, is unchanging because it has increase and decrease. In this way, one's own unchanging mind is superior to the liberation of non-Buddhists and noble Shravakas, etc., because in the causal stage, it is superior with objects of focus, etc., and in the fruition stage, it also achieves superiority and becomes a great deed, so it is the best of liberation. Secret Lord, what is such Bodhi? It is to know one's own mind as it is, and that is unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. It is said like this. How can one comprehend it? Therefore, the self-liberation of the mind
