It should not be said thus. The result is transformed from various causes and conditions, is the nature of causes and conditions, and arises from causes and conditions. It should be said thus. If it is so, then pūlu arises from the nature of yarn balls, so yarn balls are the cause of pūlu. It is said in the scriptures: The result arises from causes and conditions. Causes and conditions do not arise from themselves. What is the result from what does not arise from itself? How does it arise from causes and conditions? If it is examined that the result is transformed from causes and conditions and does not arise from the nature of causes and conditions, then those causes and conditions are not transformed from themselves. They are not completely established by themselves. They are not their own nature. They do not arise from themselves, because they are without self-nature. If it is thought that those causes and conditions do not arise from themselves, are not completely established by themselves, are not their own nature, do not arise from themselves, and are without self-nature, from which the result arises, then how does it arise from causes and conditions? If it is examined in this way, if the yarn balls themselves are completely established, then they will also arise from themselves. Therefore, the statement that pūlu arises from yarn balls should also be reasonable. When the cause is not completely established by itself, does not arise from itself, and is without self-nature, when it is transformed from the cause, is the nature of the cause, and arises from the cause, then pūlu arises from yarn balls. How can this statement be reasonable? Āryadeva also said: If pūlu arises from cause, the cause also arises from other. For what does not arise from itself, how can it produce other? It is said thus. Therefore, because causes and conditions are not completely established by themselves, do not arise from themselves, and are without self-nature. Therefore, causes and conditions do not arise. The result does not arise from causes and conditions. In this regard, if someone thinks that the result arises from non-causes and conditions. It is said in the scriptures: The result arising from non-causes and conditions does not exist. When it is unreasonable that pūlu does not arise from yarn balls, then pūlu arises from grass stems. How can this statement, which contradicts the world, be reasonable? Therefore, the result does not arise from non-causes and conditions either. Someone says: Causes and conditions do exist. Why? Because causes and conditions and non-causes and conditions can be determined. Here

Seeing that causes and non-causes are definite. From grains, only grain oil arises, not ghee. From yogurt, only ghee arises, not grain oil. From sand, neither of these arises. Like this, because these are the causes of this, these are not the causes of this, because there is such a saying, therefore the cause is established. Said: Without a result, how can it become a non-cause or a cause? Regarding this, what you said about grains not rotten etc. producing results, and not producing results, is the reason for determining causes and non-causes, which does not agree with the arising of results, because it has been explained before. If there is no such result, then these are not the causes of this, these are the causes of this, such a statement is difficult to establish. If it depends on the result to become these two, then that result is also gone. Without a result, how can it become a non-cause and a cause? In this way, the result is also not established, and the causes and non-causes are also gone. Because there are no results, causes, and non-causes, saying that arising is just a mere term. Examination of Causes, which is the first chapter. Said: You have so wonderfully explained the principle of non-arising, which makes my heart marvel at hearing emptiness. Please further explain why the coming and going seen by the world are not established? Said: For the time being, there is no going for the gone, and there is no going for the not-gone. Regarding this, if there is going, then is it on the gone or on the not-gone? For this, there is no going on the gone, because the act of going has ended. There is also no going on the not-gone, because the act of going has not yet begun. Said: That is indeed the case, there is no going for the gone and the not-gone, but there is going for walking. Said: Apart from the gone and the not-gone, walking cannot be understood. Apart from the gone and the not-gone, what is walking? Cannot be understood. How to understand? Like this, cannot be understood. This is to say that because it cannot be grasped, it is not established. Therefore, because of the gone
