Then, cessation is unreasonable, because what would cease for something that does not exist? Therefore, the immediate is unreasonable. Likewise, because the cessation of things themselves is unreasonable, the immediate is unreasonable. Even if it is thought to be cessation, the immediate is unreasonable. Why? If it has ceased, then what is the cause? Even if it has arisen, how could it become a cause? This reason has already been explained in detail before. Here it is said that the master itself exists. The thing of the master is the master itself. In short, what exists, then what arises, and what does not exist, then what does not arise, that is its master itself. It is stated: Things are all empty of inherent existence, Why does existence not make sense? Because this exists, therefore this arises, Such actions are not reasonable. Here, the emptiness of inherent existence of things has been universally explained before and will be extensively explained later. Therefore, after thoroughly establishing this point, it is said, "By things that are empty of inherent existence." Why? Because for things that are empty of inherent existence, the so-called existence, the existing thing is unreasonable, therefore, the thing itself that can say "If what exists, then this exists" does not exist. For the saying "Because this exists," if it does not exist, then how could the saying "this arises" be reasonable? If the saying "Because this exists, therefore this arises" is unreasonable, then how could it become the master of anything? Therefore, the master itself is also unreasonable. Here it is said that although it cannot be said that the things of causes are established in this way, nevertheless, causes are only existent. Why? Because fruits arise from them. For example, here, from causes such as seeds, it can be seen that fruits such as sprouts arise. Therefore, from seeing that fruits arise from them, it is known that these are the causes of the fruit. It is stated: When causes gather separately, That fruit is indeed non-existent. If the causes have nothing, How can that arise from the cause? The word "ཉིད" means "only." Each itself is also only non-existent, and when gathered, it is also only non-existent. You have shown the arising of the fruit in order to thoroughly establish the cause, that itself.

If this is not reasonable, then how can conditions be accomplished? Because the result does not exist when the conditions are separate and when they are combined. Since it does not exist when the conditions are separate and combined, how can it arise from them? If there is no arising of the result, how can you accomplish the conditions? If someone thinks that the result only exists in the conditions, then even so, the conditions are not reasonable. Because for something that already exists, conditions have no function, because what has already arisen does not need to be produced again. Furthermore, if the result exists in the conditions, then is the result of the many conditions fully present in each condition, or is only a part present? If we assume that each one has it completely, then there will not be many conditions, because each one already exists, and without relying on others, each one can also produce the result. If it is assumed that the conditions have a part of the result, then it would also lead to each one independently producing a part of the result, which is also undesirable. Therefore, it is not reasonable for the result to exist in the conditions separately and combined. If someone thinks that even if there is no result in the conditions, the result arises from the conditions, and relying on the arising of the result, my conditions will be fully accomplished, then it should be said: If it does not exist, and yet it arises from those conditions, then why does the result not arise from non-conditions? If the distinction between conditions and non-conditions is made because of the existence of the result, then the result does not exist in both conditions and non-conditions. Since they do not exist in them, if the result arises from the conditions, then why does it not arise from the non-conditions? Since conditions and non-conditions are the same in that the result does not exist in them, the statement that the result arises from the conditions but not from the non-conditions is just a thought in the mind. Therefore, the arising of the result is not reasonable, and if there is no arising of the result, how can conditions be accomplished? Here it is said that the result exists in the conditions and does not exist in the conditions, and the result arises from the conditions.
