Is it that it exists in dependence on the end? Are the middle and the end dependent on the top? Are the beginning and the end dependent on the middle? Are the beginning and the middle dependent on the end? Are the end and the middle dependent on the beginning? Is near dependent on far? Is far dependent on near? Likewise, before and after, same and different, that itself and other, result and cause, short and long, small and large, self and selfless, conditioned and unconditioned, one and two, are they dependent on many? Are one and many dependent on two? Are two and many dependent on one? Whatever of those and so forth Is established by depending slightly. All those statements will exist on those things, because if they do not exist, dependence is unreasonable. Therefore, all those things are not completely established from themselves alone. They should be expressed according to worldly conventions. Someone says: Even without dependence, those things do not exist, that is not reasonable. Because here, time is a moment, an instant, and a moment, and night and day and half a month, and months and seasons and half-years and years, etc., are fully established with complete measures, what is the use of depending on them? Explanation: Do not grasp at the non-abiding time. When something is to be grasped, the abiding does not exist. How can it be established when not grasped? Here, things that are definitely existent can be grasped from a measure, for example, this tree is tall, this water is long, this is short, this elephant is big, and so on. For time, there is nothing that can be grasped from a measure, a complete and definite existence. Like this, even a moment is established as a moment for something that has slightly passed or slightly will come, but there is nothing that is completely and definitely existent as a moment. What need is there to mention day and so on? If someone thinks that there is definitely an existent moment here, then it should be said to them, what is the so-called definitely existent moment?

That is neither past nor future. Why? Because it is constant. Just because it is not constant, it is not like that either. If it is said that it is like that because of entering, if that is constant, then it is established, but not entering, how can not entering be the present? Therefore, time is not constant. How can something that does not exist be grasped? How can things that cannot be grasped be established as moments, instants, and moments, etc.? Therefore, in the so-called time, no object is reasonable. Here it is said: Time is only existent. Why? Because there are signs. That is, before and after, simultaneous and non-simultaneous, and long and fast, etc. are signs of time, so because there are such signs, time exists. It is argued: If time depends on the previous, if the previous and the next, etc. are signs of time, then time is only established depending on things, but not completely established from itself. It is said: No, time is completely established from itself. The so-called time, the previous and the next, etc. are the cause, and what becomes those from where is time. It is argued: Where is the time without substance? Apart from things, how can your time be completely established from itself and constant? If the cause time does not change, and the examination is constant, how can the results be different? If Caitra becomes the previous and Gupta becomes the next, and they exist with non-different nature, then how can those two different things be done by it? Caitra and Gupta are not different from the previous and the next by themselves, but from the time before and after they become the previous and the next, and if time itself is not different, then how can those two different things be done by time? Master Aryadeva also said: Because the fruit and the cause are different, therefore the examination does not exist. Or where there is a cause, there is no fruit. So it is said. If the two are not different, nor is it the difference of time, then, because there is no word of difference, everything is different, or everything is
