Wouldn't it become that way? The answer is: Do you think there is also fabrication in seeing reality as it is? When? What was said before should be reversed, because the object of the mind is reversed. Since it has been shown like this, therefore, for those who have a completely ignorant mind, there is fabrication, but for those who only see reality, there is no action at all. As it is said: What had to be done has been done, there is nothing better than this. Similarly, those who do not have wisdom will also accumulate the manifested things that arise from merit. It's like saying this. Master Aryadeva also said: Since everything is non-existent, what is there to do? You will be afraid. If there is action, then this Dharma will not be reversed. Thus he said, therefore, the nature of Dharma is the same as Nirvana. This refers to what is said for the sake of ultimate truth. For the sake of worldly convention, everything is true and untrue, true and untrue itself. Like this, the Blessed One also said: Whatever the world considers to exist, I also say exists. Whatever the world considers not to exist, I also say does not exist. Therefore, when the world makes statements, whatever the world considers to be true, the Blessed One also says is true. Thus he said. Whatever the world considers not to be true, the Blessed One also says is not true. Thus he said. Whatever the world considers to be true and untrue itself, the Blessed One also says is true and untrue itself. Thus he said. For example, two villagers went to the city for some business, and entered the temple to look at the paintings for sightseeing. One of them said: The one holding the trident in his hand is the son of Vishnu. The one holding the wheel in his hand is Mahadeva. The other one said: You misunderstood, the one holding the trident in his hand is Mahadeva, and the one holding the wheel in his hand is the son of Vishnu. When they were arguing, there was a wandering ascetic nearby.

Having gone to his dwelling and prostrated, they each stated their own thoughts to him. He (referring to the non-Buddhist teacher) said to one, "What you say is true." To another, he said, "What you say is not true." When he said this, the wandering ascetic thought, 'How could there be either a great lord or a son of non-attachment here? These are just pictures painted on the wall.' Although he knew this, due to worldly conventions, he said, 'This is not true, this is not true.' By saying this, he did not incur the fault of false speech. Similarly, although the Blessed One sees that all phenomena are empty of inherent existence, due to worldly conventions, he says, 'This is true, this is not true, this is true, and this is not true.' Ultimately: Neither true nor not true, that is what the Buddha taught. How can one say that phenomena, which are empty of inherent existence, like illusions, dreams, mirages, reflections, and echoes, are either true or not true? Therefore, that is the teaching of the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, free from the faults of existence and non-existence, not shared by all non-Buddhists, and which clarifies the ultimate truth. Alternatively, this is another meaning: some say, 'Everything arises from existence itself.' Others say, 'The result arises from causes that did not exist before.' Some say, 'It arises from existence and non-existence.' The teaching of the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, is that phenomena are merely imputed from causes and conditions, and are not existence or non-existence. As it is also said in the Katyayana Sutra, 'Katyayana, this world abides in two, namely, mostly abiding in existence and abiding in non-existence.' Therefore, the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, also spoke of those things according to worldly conventions. Therefore, those who wish to see the truth should not be attached to what is said according to worldly conventions, but should grasp what is truly the meaning. Question: What is the nature of that truth? Answer: It is not known from others, it is peaceful.

Not elaborated by elaborations, no conceptualization, not different in meaning, that is the nature of suchness. That which is called 'not known from others' means that there is no knowing from others in this, it becomes manifest to oneself without scripture, and is a synonym for 'self-manifestation'. 'Peaceful' is a synonym for 'emptiness of essence'. 'Not elaborated by elaborations' is a synonym for 'separation from worldly dharmas'. 'Without conceptualization' means not conceptualizing 'this' and 'this is'. 'Not different in meaning' means 'this is also this, and this is also this', so there is no difference in meaning. Therefore, because there is no conceptualization, therefore it is not elaborated by elaborations. Because it is not elaborated by worldly dharmas, therefore it is peaceful. Because it is peaceful, therefore it is not different in meaning. Therefore, one should know that such a nature, knowing, self-awareness, which is not known from others, is the characteristic of suchness. This is also another characteristic of suchness: That which arises dependent on something, that is not the same as that for a while. Because it is not other than that, therefore it is neither annihilation nor permanence. Like this, that which arises dependent on something, that is not the same as that for a while. It is also not other than that, because if that were other than that, then it would be reasonable for it to arise even without that. Since it does not arise, therefore it is not other than that. For example, the sprout that arises dependent on the seed is not the same as the seed itself, and because the nature of the sprout is not other than the seed, therefore the sprout is also not other than the seed. Likewise, because that which arises dependent on something is neither the same as that nor other than that, therefore it is neither annihilation nor permanence. Like this, if the seed itself were the sprout, then the seed would become permanent. Because the seed itself is not the sprout, therefore the seed is not permanent. If the seed were other and the sprout were also other, then in that case, the seed would be completely cut off, so it would become annihilation. Because the sprout is not other than the seed,
