Therefore, that (referring to the dictum) will transform the sphere of activity of its mind. Therefore, elaboration will be stopped by emptiness. The teacher Aryadeva also said: 'The seed of existence is consciousness, objects are its sphere of activity, if one sees no self in objects, the seed of existence will cease.' Thus he said. Question: What is the difference between the view that says 'This world does not exist, the other world does not exist, sentient beings are not born miraculously,' etc., and the view that says 'All things are unborn and unceasing'? Answer: The difference between these two is very great. You do not understand the meaning of emptiness, that is why you think these two are similar. Regarding this, to abandon without distinguishing, and to abandon after distinguishing, these two are similar in abandoning, but to abandon without distinguishing, it is shown to be associated with the all-pervasive connection of ignorance. The other abandonment is what the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, have universally taught. Therefore, the difference between these two is very great. Similarly, here too, to see 'This world does not exist,' etc., is associated with a mind completely deluded by ignorance. The other, which sees that all things are empty of inherent nature, therefore unborn and unceasing, is one that has wisdom as its guide. Therefore, the difference between these two is very great. Furthermore, just as one has not seen non-existence, to merely say 'This world does not exist,' for example, a blind person says 'This direction is comfortable,' but because he has no eyes, he cannot see, therefore he will be confused and collide. Similarly, that person says 'This world does not exist,' but because he has no eye of wisdom, he cannot see, therefore he will be stained by those faults. Furthermore, for example, when some people argue, in order to make the truth established, they show two great postures, one of which is to see that reason directly, the second is not to see that reason directly, but to seek a face of error or friendliness. When both of them are made to speak that reason, how does one of them...

Even if the truth has been spoken in this way, it will also become a lie because that meaning has not manifested, and it will also have the characteristics of being non-Dharma and unpleasant. In another case, when that meaning is spoken, it is also speaking the truth because that meaning has manifested, and it will also have the characteristics of being Dharma and pleasant, just like that. Even if it has been determined that all things are empty, and because of emptiness, they are unborn and unceasing. However, whoever has manifest wisdom, that person does not possess good and praiseworthy qualities. In another case, because emptiness has not manifested, it will also be criticized by those who are skilled in positions because of the fault of views. Therefore, the difference between these two is very large. As the teacher Śrāvakavasu said in praise of the Prajñāpāramitā: Seeing you is bondage, not seeing is also bondage, seeing you is liberation, not seeing is also liberation. It is said. If this is the case, then this is the realm of the eye of wisdom that knows the suchness, and is without defilement, and it is not the realm of the eye of wisdom that is obscured by the great darkness of ignorance. Furthermore, you, with a mind that prides itself on being wise, prejudicially think about views and argue with me. There is also a difference in not doing so to those who say existence and non-existence, and it should be explained. How to explain it? Saying existence and non-existence is the dominion of views. I see things as non-existent like rabbit horns, and in order to completely avoid the faults of language, I do not say that it is neither existent nor non-existent. Like this, since they are interdependent, how can one say existence and non-existence? Just like seeing images, that's how I speak. You are like selling a precious Andanila gem for the price of an ordinary stone, both obtaining a high result that is in accordance with what you thought in your heart, and also showing your own wisdom. Said: If all things are the same as Nirvana, then since there is no difference between virtue and non-virtue, all efforts are in vain.
