At the time of connection, only one (result) will arise. Thus it is taught. That, too, if differentiated, should be known as two types, namely, the difference of actions that are without outflows and those with outflows. Therefore, although such actions are momentary, they are fully grasped by the law of non-wastage, and thus become connected with the fruit. That connection with the fruit also arises from the difference in actions, in different realms, species, lineages, regions, and times, with different bodies, senses, colors, shapes, strengths, and intelligence, etc., one will experience various kinds of happiness and suffering. Therefore, emptiness and non-cessation, samsara and non-permanence, actions are the law of non-wastage, which is taught by the Buddha. Thus, because the connection between action and result exists with various differences, there are various states. Although there are various states, because it is not to be said as the same or different, therefore, the nature does not definitely exist and is not to be spoken of. Therefore, emptiness is also reasonable. Although it is emptiness, it will not fall into the fault of annihilation. Samsara is also reasonable. Although there is samsara, it will not fall into the fault of permanence. The Buddha, the Bhagavan, manifestly showed the actions and ripening of sentient beings, and the teaching of the non-wastage of actions, that is also reasonable. Therefore, permanence itself is reasonable here. Just as the fruit arises from the cause of the sprout, understanding that the fruit of action arises is not reasonable. Said: Are you amusing yourself by decorating the walls of a Gandharva city? You are arguing for the fruit of action even though action is unreasonable? Like this, if you were to slightly establish action by its own nature, then it would be reasonable to think that the existing action is related to the fruit through continuity or non-wastage. When that action itself is not established by its own nature, what is the use of this baseless thought? Therefore, emptiness, etc. Said: How is action not established? Said: Like this, because action is unborn, because action has birth.

Because there is no arising, it is unreasonable. In this way, how could it be reasonable if it does not arise? Question: Why is there no arising of karma? Answer: Because the thing itself does not exist. Because the self-nature of karma does not exist, there is no arising. In this way, if the self-nature of karma exists, then the arising of karma is this. In this way, arising is also reasonable. If the self-nature of karma does not exist, then what will arise? Even if it arises, it will not arise in the manner of self-nature. If it does not arise in the manner of self-nature, then it is not karma itself, because the self-nature of karma does not exist. Therefore, karma is unreasonable. Question: Karma itself has arising. Why? Because karmas are not wasted. In this way, the Bhagavan also said that karmas are not wasted. If karma has no arising, then what is it that is not wasted? Therefore, karma is only that which has arising. Answer: If there is arising, then not being wasted is unreasonable. Because that is unborn, that will not be wasted. The Bhagavan said that it is precisely because that karma is unborn that it will not be wasted. Otherwise, if it arises, how could it not be wasted? If so, then what is born will also not die, but what is born will not not die. Therefore, karma will not not be wasted after it is born. Question: When I say that karma is momentary, so even if it ceases, the result will be accomplished by the dharma of not being wasted. When this is said, what question does this answer, how can karma not be wasted if it arises? Answer: This is the answer to this very question. If you say that karma is momentary, so if it ceases, then what is it that is not wasted? If there is no basis, then not being wasted is unreasonable. In this way, if karma is not wasted, then that karma also ceases and does not exist. Because it does not exist, not being wasted also does not exist. Therefore, the statement that ceasing is not wasted is contradictory. Question: Even if karma ceases, the maturation will not be wasted, so there is no fault. Answer: That is also unreasonable. Why? Because here the desired and undesired results of karma are desired and undesired
