It is not permissible. If one says that form arises without a cause, that is unreasonable, it is inherently impermissible. Why? Because in that case, it would lead to all things constantly arising, and all actions would become meaningless faults. Therefore, the view of causelessness is entirely one-sided, so it is unreasonable, it is inherently impermissible. Like this, it is repeatedly and definitively explained. Therefore, regarding the various aspects of form, one should not analyze any of them. Because, without the cause of form, form cannot be perceived; and regarding the existence or non-existence of form, the cause of form is also unreasonable; form without a cause is inherently unreasonable, it is inherently impermissible. Therefore, a person like you, who possesses the nature of wisdom, if you wish to understand reality, you should not analyze the various aspects of form. Like this, how can one reasonably contemplate something that has no basis? Furthermore, it is unreasonable to say that the result is the same as the cause; it is also unreasonable to say that the result is different from the cause. If one examines the result and the cause, if one examines whether the result is the same as or different from the cause, then the statement that the result is the same as the cause is unreasonable for the result of the arising of form. The statement that the result is different from the cause is also unreasonable for the result of the arising of form. Why? Because, if one says that the nature of the elements is solidity, moisture, warmth, and motion, then these qualities of the elements cannot be clearly pointed out in form. For example, earth is solid, water is moist, fire is warm, and wind is moving, these can be clearly pointed out. Therefore, the result is neither the same as nor different from the cause, so it is unreasonable to say that form is the result. Feeling, recognition, volition, and consciousness, as well as all things, in all aspects, are the same as form, in the same order. Feeling, recognition, volition, and consciousness, these are also unreasonable in the same way that form is unreasonable, in the same order, because apart from the elements,

Just as there is no feeling without touch, like formlessness, just as there is no cause of form without form, so also there is no touch without feeling. Thus, the Blessed One also said: "Depending on the touch that experiences happiness, the feeling of happiness arises." The rest should also be applied in the same way, so it is unreasonable to say that the aggregates exist. The Blessed One also said: "Illusion is to deceive children." Like this: Form is like a water bubble, feeling is like bubbles on water, perception is like a mirage, formations are like a banana tree, consciousness is like an illusion. Thus spoke the Kinsman of the Sun (Shakyamuni Buddha). It is also said. The aggregates, etc., are temporarily unreasonable, not only that, but all phenomena are also equally unreasonable because of the unreasonableness of form. Therefore, since all phenomena are equally unreasonable because of the unreasonableness of form, therefore, when debating with emptiness, whoever answers and speaks, he has not completely answered, and will be the same as what needs to be proven. When debating with emptiness and starting to debate and discussing extensively, whoever answers and speaks with non-emptiness, then they have not answered. Why? Because it will be the same as what needs to be proven. For example, if one asserts that all things are empty of self-nature, in order to show an example, when proving that woolen cloth is empty of self-nature, if someone says that there are temporarily threads, then this is the same as what needs to be proven. Because whatever reasons show that woolen cloth is empty of self-nature, those reasons also prove well that threads are emptiness, therefore showing that threads are not emptiness is the same as the woolen cloth that needs to be proven. Similarly, those who understand the state of Dharma think that the self-nature of virtuous dharmas is virtuous, and the rest also think that it is determined in the same way.

When I say those and so on, even virtuous dharmas are dependently originated, and because they are without inherent existence, that is also the same as needing to be proven. Because it is the same as needing to be proven, there is no answer. The teacher Arya Deva also said: 'The way one looks at one thing, one wants to look at all things in the same way. Whatever is the emptiness of one, that itself is the emptiness of all.' Thus he said. When explaining with emptiness, if someone finds fault and criticizes, isn't he criticizing everything? It will become the same as needing to be proven. When explaining that the object of emptiness is without inherent existence, if someone finds fault and criticizes because it is not emptiness, then all of those are the same as before, and because it is the same as needing to be proven, it is not criticism. Although that is the same meaning, it is also shown by the difference of other situations. These two verses should be regarded as belonging to the category of all explanations, because they are established in all. This is called the Chapter on Aggregates, the fourth chapter. Here it is said, here also are shown these six elements and so on, and also shown are the individual characteristics of those. Among them, the characteristic of space is non-obstruction. Thus it is shown, if there were no object, then it would not be appropriate to show the characteristic, therefore because there is a characteristic, there is space. Just as there is space, so also the remaining elements exist because they have their own characteristics. It is explained, the characteristic of space is unreasonable. Why? Like this, before the characteristic of space, there was not a little space. If before the characteristic of space there was a little something called space, then it would also be reasonable to say that this characteristic of space is this, if showing the characteristic is also reasonable, then before the characteristic of space there is no space. If there is no space, then how could it be reasonable to call it the characteristic of space? If one thinks that there is space before the characteristic of space, then if it is earlier than the name, it will become without characteristic. Here it is said, 'The absence of characteristic exists.' It is explained, characteristic
