Those who do not understand the distinctions of categories, do not understand the truth of the profound teachings of the Buddha. If one wishes to say that all phenomena are unborn, and that this is the ultimate truth, then what is the use of the second truth, the conventional truth? To this, it should be explained: Without relying on convention, one cannot reveal the ultimate; without relying on the ultimate, one cannot attain nirvana. Because without relying on convention, one cannot reveal the ultimate, and without relying on the ultimate, one cannot attain nirvana, therefore both truths must be established. If one views emptiness incorrectly, it will destroy those with little wisdom. Just like grasping a snake incorrectly, or incorrectly practicing a vidya-mantra. If one views or contemplates the emptiness of the ultimate truth incorrectly, it will destroy those with little wisdom, and cause them great harm. For example, if one grasps a snake incorrectly, it will destroy the person and bring about a great danger leading to death. Similarly, if one incorrectly practices vidya-mantras and secret mantras, or if the ritual is incomplete, it will destroy the person and bring about a great danger that threatens their life. Therefore, knowing that it is difficult for the weak to understand the depths of this Dharma, the Buddha's mind turned away from teaching the Dharma. It is precisely for this reason that the Buddha, knowing that it is difficult for those with weak wisdom to understand the depths of this Dharma, the Blessed One's mind turned away from teaching the Dharma. You reject me because emptiness would lead to faults, but this is not reasonable for emptiness itself. The seventh chapter ends. Furthermore, for whom emptiness is possible, for him everything is possible. For whom emptiness is not possible,

Then, all mundane and supramundane things will become unreasonable. Your own faults, you completely transfer to me, just like forgetting the horse while riding it. You completely transfer your own faults to me, just like forgetting the horse while riding it. Furthermore, if one believes that things exist from their own nature, then you are viewing things as without cause and condition. In that case, the result and the cause itself, the agent and the action, birth and cessation, and also the result, will be harmed. If one believes that things exist from their own nature, then you are viewing things as without cause and condition. Therefore, the result and the cause itself, the agent and the action, birth and cessation, and also the result, will be harmed. Whatever is dependent arising, that is said to be emptiness. That is established dependently, and that is the Middle Way. Because there is no dharma that is not dependently arisen, therefore there is no dharma that is not empty. I say, whatever is dependent arising, that is said to be emptiness, that is established dependently, and that is the Middle Way. If something truly exists, then it arises dependently and is established dependently. Because there is no dharma that is not dependently arisen, therefore there is no dharma that is not empty. If all of this is not empty, there is no arising and no destruction. Then, for you, the four noble truths will not be established. If so, how is it? (It is said:) If it is not dependent arising, how can there be suffering? What is said to be impermanent and suffering does not exist in its own nature. If it is not dependent arising, suffering will not

It transforms. Why? Because the sutras say that impermanence is suffering, but that is not inherently existent. Furthermore, if it exists from its own nature, what will arise? Therefore, for those who harm emptiness, arising does not exist. If suffering is inherently existent, what will arise? Because it is inherently existent. Because it is so, for those who harm emptiness, arising does not exist. Suffering is inherently existent, cessation does not exist. Because inherent nature is all-pervasive, it harms cessation. Suffering exists by its own nature, cessation does not exist, because it is indestructible. Therefore, because inherent nature is all-pervasive, it harms cessation. If the path is inherently existent, cultivation is not reasonable. If the path is to be cultivated, your reality does not exist. If one believes that the path is inherently existent, cultivation is not reasonable, because it is meaningless. Like this, whatever is permanent has no means of cultivation and accomplishment. Therefore, cultivating the path is not reasonable. If the path is to be cultivated, then your own nature does not exist. Furthermore, when suffering, the origin, and cessation do not exist, what cessation of suffering do you think will be attained by the path? When these three dharmas of suffering, origin, and cessation do not exist, what cessation of suffering do you think will be attained by the path? Furthermore, if it is not fully understood by its own nature, how can it be fully understood? Don't you know that reality exists? If suffering is not fully understood by its own nature, how can it be fully understood? Because it is not fully understood by its own nature. Didn't you say that inherent nature is definitely existent? Similarly, your own abandonment and realization, as well as cultivation and the four fruits, cannot be fully understood. Similarly, your own
