and the infinite, and the finite also exists and also does not exist, neither finite nor infinite, where are those four views that rely on the later extreme? Because ultimately, the Tathagata is unborn. Here it is said that the Tathagata exists, because it is not prophesied that he will not exist after Nirvana. Here it is said: Whoever clings tightly, that person, after Nirvana, does the Tathagata exist? Does he not exist? He speculates with discrimination. A wise person who is accustomed to various discriminations and whose mind is stained by habits, who thinks that this is true and that others are meaningless, thus clinging tightly, that person, after Nirvana, does the Tathagata exist after Nirvana? Does the Tathagata not exist after Nirvana? Does the Tathagata exist and also exist after Nirvana, and also not exist? The Tathagata neither exists nor does not exist after Nirvana, and he speculates with discrimination in the four views that rely on Nirvana. For those who are empty by nature, after the Buddha's Nirvana, does he exist or does he not exist? The thought will not change. With the eye of pure wisdom, I, regarding Nirvana, does the Tathagata exist after Nirvana? Does the Tathagata not exist after Nirvana? Does the Tathagata exist and also exist after Nirvana, and also not exist? The Tathagata neither exists nor does not exist after Nirvana, and those thoughts of the four views that rely on Nirvana will not change, because the wisdom of discrimination will not arise in the absence of an object. Those who have transcended the Buddha's elaboration, and who elaborate on the infinite, all those who are obscured by elaboration will not see the Tathagata. Those who, like the Buddha, the Bhagavan, have transcended elaboration and are in the infinite, in existence and non-existence, permanence and impermanence, the form body and the Dharma body, and the body of the scriptures, self-character and the basis of self-character, cause and effect, and wisdom and what is to be realized, and emptiness.

Those who elaborate with elaborations such as existence and non-existence, understand and are arrogant, and whose eye of wisdom is dimmed by elaborations, like a blind man looking at the sun, will not be able to see the Thus-gone One, who has transcended elaborations, from the inexhaustible Dharmakaya. What is the reality of the Thus-gone One? That is the nature of beings. The reality of the Thus-gone One does not exist, and these beings have no nature either. Because of such complete observation, the Thus-gone One has no nature. What is the nature of the Thus-gone One? That is also the nature of these sentient beings and conditioned existences. What is the nature of the Thus-gone One? It is said: The nature of the Thus-gone One does not exist, and these beings are also equally without nature, but not equal in terms of qualities. The Thus-gone One observes, called the twenty-second chapter, Analysis. Here it is said: Attachment, hatred, and delusion, are said to arise from pervasive thought. Lovable and unlovable inversions, arise entirely from dependence. Here, attachment, hatred, and delusion, are extensively said in the sutras to arise from pervasive thought. Those also arise entirely from dependence on the inversions of lovable and unlovable. Therefore, attachment, hatred, and delusion exist. Here it is said: Whatever arises dependent on the inversions of lovable and unlovable, those are not from their own nature, therefore afflictions are not truly existent. Afflictions such as attachment, hatred, and delusion, whatever arises dependent on the inversions of lovable and unlovable, those are without self-nature, therefore afflictions are not truly existent. Furthermore, the existence and non-existence of self, cannot be established in any way. If that does not exist, how can the existence and non-existence of afflictions be established? Here, if the basis of afflictions such as attachment is said to be the existence of self, then the afflictions that depend on it could also be considered to exist. The existence and non-existence of self are various
