No. Here it is said that the Tathagata is nominally designated in dependence on the aggregates, because that is not to be spoken of as being the same as them or different from them, nor is it the nature of the aggregates, nor is it the nature of something else. Here it is said: If there were some Tathagata not dependent on the aggregates, then that would be the first to depend, and having depended, it would rely on changing into that. Here, if the Tathagata is nominally designated in dependence on the aggregates, if it is the Tathagata or something that is not the Tathagata that is nominally designated in dependence on the aggregates of the Tathagata, then, if that is the Tathagata, then depending on that is meaningless. Or if it is not the Tathagata, then even so, if before not depending on the aggregates, there were some other abiding place of the Tathagata himself, then those would depend on the aggregates, and having depended, they would rely on changing from that into the Tathagata. Here it is said: Thus it will change. Here it is said: Without depending on the aggregates, there is no Tathagata at all. How can that which does not exist without depending take up? Without depending on the aggregates, no Tathagata is reasonable. How can he who does not exist without depending on the aggregates take up the aggregates, since he is not a Tathagata? For example, like something other than that. Here it is said: Because samsara has no beginning or end, and because the Tathagata is also not to be spoken of as being the same as or different from it, there is no before or after for those who take up and those who are taken up, so those are nominally designated in dependence. Here it is said: How can what is not taken up not become taken up? Without taking up, there is no Tathagata at all. If it is unreasonable for those who take up and those who are taken up to have a before and after, since samsara has no beginning or end, then it is also unreasonable to say that the Tathagata is the one who takes up and the aggregates are what is taken up. Why is that? Here, because it is what is taken up, it is called taking up, and taking up

If it is said that the agent is the taker, since samsara has no beginning or end, this is what is taken. It is unreasonable to say, "This is what is taken." What is taken by the taker will not become the taker, and without the taker, it will not become the Tathagata who is the taker. Here it is said that the Tathagata exists only because it is to be designated by taking. Here it is said, if one searches with five modes, how can the Tathagata who is neither that nor other be designated by taking? If it is the case that the Tathagata exists and is to be designated by taking, then is it the same as or different from taking? If one searches with five modes, how can the Tathagata who is neither the same nor different be designated by taking? Therefore, that is also unreasonable. Here it is said that the taker exists only because there is what is taken. Here it is said, whatever is taken, that is without inherent existence. The thought that what is taken truly exists is also not inherently existent because it arises dependently. Here it is said that even if what is taken is not inherently existent, it exists from other things. Here it is said, what does not exist from my own thing, how can it exist from another's thing? Whatever is the taker, if it does not exist from my own thing, how can it exist from another's thing? Why? Because my own thing does not exist, therefore another's thing also does not exist. Again it is said, the so-called "I" is dependent, and before the five modes there is no taking. The non-dependent taking, how could it exist at all? What is taken is also, before that taking, if what is taken does not exist, how could the taking exist? Taking depends on what is taken, it is neither existent nor non-existent. Taking is not what is taken, nor is it what is not taken. What is taken is not taking, nor is it non-taking. It is not what taking depends on, nor does it depend on non-taking.

If the near-taking is accomplished, Does it transform from the near-taking? If that is not accomplished, then the near-taker, How can there be accomplishment? If the near-taking is about to be accomplished, The near-taking is not accomplished, Since the accomplishment of near-taking does not exist, There is no action of near-taking. Thus, the near-taking and the near-taker, Are empty in all ways. Because of emptiness, the Thus-Gone One is empty, How can it be established? Thus, because of that, the near-taking and the near-taker, self-nature and other-nature, and that-ness and other-ness, etc., are empty in all ways, therefore, those who see the ultimate truth, understanding the near-taking and the near-taker in that way, will not establish that the Thus-Gone One exists. Therefore, the meaning to be established based on dependence is emptiness in all ways, therefore, self-nature and other-nature, and that-ness and other-ness, etc., should not be spoken of. Here it is said: If it is said to be empty now, is that certain? Here it is said: Emptiness should not be spoken, Non-emptiness should not be done either, Two and non-two should not be done, It should be spoken for the sake of establishment. Emptiness should not be spoken, non-emptiness should not be spoken either, emptiness and non-emptiness should not be spoken either, neither non-empty nor not non-empty should be spoken either, because it enters into merely clarifying the incompatible aspect. For the sake of washing away the defilement of unreal perception, and only establishing the meaning of the ultimate truth.
