Regarding the display of the unreasonableness of conditioned things and sentient beings in samsara and nirvana, as well as bondage and liberation, one also wants to hear. Here it says: If conditioned things are samsara, then if they are permanent, they do not revolve; if they are impermanent, they also cannot revolve. Sentient beings are also the same. If one thinks that conditioned things are samsara, then are they permanent or impermanent, the four kinds of samsara? Neither is reasonable. For the time being, if it is permanent, then it does not revolve, why? Because it is definitely abiding, because of the existence of its essence, and because it does not change. If it is impermanent, it also does not revolve, why? Because it is definitely not abiding, because of the emptiness of its essence, and because it changes. If one thinks that sentient beings are samsara, sentient beings should also know that it is the same. Here it says: Sentient beings, from the aggregates, sources, and elements, are not said to be the cycle of self, other, permanent, and impermanent. Here it says: If the person revolves, the aggregates, sources, and elements, if searched for in five ways, if they do not exist, what revolves? If one thinks that the person revolves, that is very unreasonable. Why? Because for the aggregates, sources, and elements, is he himself? Or is he different from them? Or does he exist in them? Or do they exist in him? Or is he in accordance with them? If searched for in five ways, he does not exist, if he does not exist, what revolves? Also, from taking to taking, if revolving, then there is cessation in between. Without existence, without taking, then what revolves? If one examines the person revolving, then does he revolve with taking or without taking? Neither is reasonable. Among them, for the time being, having taking is not reasonable, why? Because when revolving from taking to another taking, there is cessation in between. Not having taking also does not revolve, why? Because there is no existence and taking, if he does not exist, then what is it, what revolves? Here it says: Without a basis, one cannot attain nirvana.

Sentient beings and all conditioned things will be liberated from suffering. Here it is said: The liberation of conditioned things from suffering is in no way reasonable. The liberation of sentient beings from suffering is also in no way possible. To what you said, that conditioned things and sentient beings will be liberated from suffering, I have already stated that conditioned things and sentient beings, because of their lack of inherent existence, are in no way subject to cyclic existence. Since it has already been shown that they are not subject to cyclic existence, how could conditioned things and sentient beings be reasonably liberated from suffering in any other way? Here it is said: Since bondage and liberation are inconceivable without a basis, conditioned things and sentient beings will become both bondage and liberation. Here it is said: Conditioned things, which are of the nature of arising and ceasing, will not be bound or liberated. Likewise, sentient beings will not be bound or liberated. To what you said, that conditioned things and sentient beings will become both bondage and liberation, first of all, conditioned things cannot become bondage and liberation, why? Because they are of the nature of arising and ceasing. Sentient beings also cannot become bondage and liberation, why? Because, as before, if one searches for them in the five aggregates, twelve sense bases, and eighteen elements in five ways, they cannot be found. Here it is said: Sentient beings connected with grasping, and those without grasping, which are neither the same nor different, are inexpressible, will be bound. Here it is said: If grasping is bondage, then being connected with grasping will not be bondage. Not having grasping will also not be bondage, so which state will be bound? If you think that grasping is bondage, then being connected with grasping will not be bondage, why? Because it would be the fault of becoming two graspings. Not having grasping will also not be bondage, why? Because nothing will bind that which has no grasping and does not exist. Therefore, then which third state do you think will be bound? Furthermore, if before being bound, bondage exists, then bondage is needed. But that also does not exist, the remainder is shown by measuring what has passed and what has not passed. If before the object being bound
