Therefore, just like a son who has already established the title of mother, it is not necessary to live very closely. Just as it is said, for a Hinayana practitioner with Bodhicitta, just like a newborn baby, one should cultivate by protecting the intention of generating Bodhicitta. Just because the number is not stated, it can be understood that the retinue here is countless. Otherwise, the number should be stated. There are two uncommon topics: the occasion of asking and the actual asking. There are two occasions of asking: what the Bhagavan (World Honored One) did and what the Holy Avalokiteshvara did. Among them, first, why didn't the Bhagavan enter Samadhi? Because it is unreasonable to pray to others without relying on him. Because the Bhagavan is always in equanimity, and "the Svabhavikakaya is equal, subtle and connected to them, showing enjoyment at will, desiring the wealth of perfect enjoyment," as it is said, it is unreasonable, because the Nirmanakaya does not have wisdom. After expounding the Dharma categories of profound manifestation, it is unreasonable to enter Samadhi. However, since you are not a vessel for turning the wheel of Dharma, the beings to be tamed believe in the Holy Avalokiteshvara, so they are the beings to be tamed by him. Not entering the teachings of the perfectly complete Buddha is entering Samadhi. The meaning of this is that the sound of Samadhi is well known in the world, so it is called Samadhi here. Therefore, the sound of Samadhi here refers to the explanation through the words of abandonment, indicating abandonment. Or, entering Samadhi indicates abiding in a state of silence, thus referring to the meaning expressed by words. Here, the thing called profound manifestation should be understood as not what is expressed by Samadhi. Because ordinary people, Shravakas, and those whose minds are distracted by emptiness cannot understand, it is profound. Because it has the characteristic of eliminating the darkness of ignorance and abiding nearby, it is called manifestation.

That which is called "Categories of Meaning" is a category of names for treatises. Among them, "Dharma" refers to the reality of things, which is separate from what is expressed and what expresses it. "Its category" refers to the fact that it is shown by the conventional truth that is subsequently taught, hence it is a treatise. Therefore, it is called the category of names. Furthermore, "at that time" refers to the time when the Buddha's teachings are briefly summarized, which is the time of the faculties. Otherwise, it is not reasonable to think of anything other than listening to the noble Avalokiteśvara. Among them, "noble" refers to being far removed from the two obscurations. "Avalokiteśvara" refers to looking at sentient beings with great compassion. "Īśvara" refers to possessing the fruit of compassion with great power. "Knowing" is understanding worldly things. "Edge" is understanding the reality of moments and so on. "The other shore" is understanding the two truths. "Gone" is because there is nothing higher. The term "looking" refers to thinking. Thus, the noble Avalokiteśvara, who intensely engages in mere thought, created the occasion for supplication. Otherwise, this would also be directed towards entering into samadhi, and thus would become not an occasion for supplication. For that very reason, it is said, "Then," which means after the noble Avalokiteśvara, with the nature of thought, followed leisure. The word "ni" refers to the subject matter known as the nature of non-contradiction, meaning that when the teacher is at leisure, it is not contradictory to ask. The term "endowed with life" is known as an address to a young person. Bodhisattva, the great courageous one, strives for the benefit of sentient beings, and engages in activities that are in accordance with them. Although there are others, without realizing those, only Śāriputra, by the power of the Buddha, is the domain of the self who has the autonomy to ask questions, because the realm of those to be tamed is understood to be inferior due to their inclination towards the Śrāvakas. Therefore, he believes that the questions he asks and the answers that are in accordance with them are also a cause of benefit to himself, and thus he intensely engages in obtaining them. If the questioner is a Bodhisattva, even if he understands that the answer that is in accordance with the great courageous one is a cause of benefit, he does not favor it. Apart from the power of the Bhagavan, Śāriputra
