The ground is obscured by the obscuration of knowledge. Thorns and pits refer to attachment to the characteristics of beings, such as form, which is falling into the edge of samsara. Ravines and cliffs refer to attachment to the nirvana of the Hearers, which is falling into the edge of emptiness. The person with eyes refers to the Tathagata, because his eye of wisdom is clear, and he sees that form is empty in its essence, so birth and death are like illusions, and he does not abandon samsara. Because the three realms are like dreams, he does not seek the merits of nirvana. Because he has entered the Middle Way of no characteristics, no wishes, and emptiness, he has reached the state of non-abiding nirvana. Therefore, attachment to characteristics is a cliff, it is a fault, and in order to show this, one should not cling to any characteristic, whether it exists or does not exist. Similarly, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are all emptiness, and it should be said in this way. Earlier, it was said that the five aggregates are all empty, and among them, the emptiness of form was mentioned, showing that form is emptiness, and the implication that emptiness and form are non-dual, which, when combined with the three explanations, becomes six kinds. The three explanations are: first, it is explained as emptiness by nature, that is, oneness; in the middle, it is combined with the three imputations and explained as the same taste; finally, abandoning the ordinary people of samsara who abide by the extreme of reality, and the Hearers who abide by the extreme of emptiness in nirvana, and accomplishing entering the Middle Way. In this way, on each of the three, adding form is emptiness, emptiness is form, each combination becomes six kinds, and for the five aggregates or four aggregates, this method should also be explained. Just as the mutual emptiness is explained in five ways, similarly, for the remaining feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, the mutual emptiness should also be explained in five ways. These dharmas are the continuum of one's own mind, and the mind is the nature of formless emptiness, and after the habitual patterns have matured, it relies on the aggregate of form. This is like an empty vessel, relying on the vessel. If the vessel is destroyed, there is no place to rely on, and it is non-dual with the great emptiness. Similar to this, this

Having examined the skandha of form as emptiness, the skandha of mind is also without a place to abide. The ultimate truth is non-different from the realm of dharma. If asked, how do the five skandhas manifest as emptiness? As stated by the noble inexhaustible wisdom: The skandha of form is like a bubble of water, impossible to grasp and impossible to divide. The skandha of feeling is like a water bubble, impermanent in an instant. The skandha of perception is like a mirage, mistaken by the thirst of craving. The skandha of formation is like a plantain tree, without essence when dissected. The skandha of consciousness is like a dream, clinging to illusion. Therefore, the five skandhas are not self, not person, not sentient being, not life, not nurturer, not individual. The nature of the five skandhas is such that they are empty of self and what belongs to self. Unborn, unceasing, non-existent, like the realm of space, unconditioned, naturally in nirvana. Thus, knowing the four great elements as empty, form is emptiness. Knowing the four minds as empty internally is called emptiness of emptiness. Abandoning the sign of the unity of form and emptiness, being separated from both the grasped and the grasper, is called the body of liberation. This is the realm of wisdom. If one does not practice in this realm, it is impossible to meditate. Therefore, it is taught to guide yogis into meditation. Shariputra, thus, What is said is as stated above. All dharmas are emptiness. The term all dharmas refers to what depends on the five skandhas, such as the five faculties and the five objects, as well as the realms, the sources, and the twelve links of dependent origination. Knowing the five skandhas as empty, their parts should also be known as the nature of emptiness. For example, knowing the main part of the body as empty, the hands and feet should also be known accordingly. The term signless means that all dharmas are free from signs and non-signs, hence they are called signless. The term unborn and unceasing means that what was not there before and then exists is called birth. What existed before and then does not exist,
