Regarding the statement "Body is not, mind is not," it means this: These are the six faculties. The six faculties rely on the five aggregates. If there are no five aggregates, the six faculties are not different from the five aggregates, therefore they are said to be non-existent. Regarding the statement "Form is not, sound is not, smell is not, taste is not, touch is not, dharma is not," it means this: These are the six objects. Due to the power of ignorance, habitual tendencies ripen, and with a defiled mind, one grasps them as existent in the arising of conditioned results. However, in ultimate truth, they are empty of inherent existence, therefore they are said to be non-existent. Regarding the statement "Eye element is not" up to "Mind element is not," it means this: These are the eighteen elements. Since the six internal faculties are non-existent, the basis for the six consciousnesses is non-existent. Since the six external objects are non-existent, the abode for the six consciousnesses is non-existent. Since they do not arise at all, the six consciousnesses are also non-existent. Therefore, the eighteen elements are also said to be non-existent. Regarding the statement "Ignorance is not, the cessation of ignorance is not, old age and death are not, the cessation of old age and death are not," it means this: This is the sphere of practice for those who have entered the vehicle of the solitary realizer. Mentioning ignorance up to old age and death is a concise statement. Due to the condition of ignorance, there is action, and so forth, consciousness, name and form, six sense bases, contact, feeling, craving, grasping, existence, birth, and up to old age and death, all should be observed. What is called ignorance arises from the view of self. Grasping at self arises from the non-existence of things, therefore ignorance is also non-existent. For example, if a house has been dark for a long time, when a single lamp appears, it disappears in an instant, and the substance of that which has disappeared is not seen. Likewise, the thick darkness of ignorance of sentient beings since beginningless time, when examined with the lamp of wisdom, will disappear in an instant. The substance of that which has disappeared is also not seen. What is called knowledge is merely a designation based on the opposite of ignorance. Since ignorance is non-existent, the name of knowledge also does not exist, therefore it is said that ignorance is also not, and the cessation of ignorance is also not. Since the substance of ignorance itself is non-existent, it is said that ignorance is non-existent. Non-existent.

Because it does not appear like a thing, it is also called inexhaustible. Suffering, origin, cessation, and path are not like that, it is said that this is the field of activity for those who have entered the Hearer Vehicle, called the Four Noble Truths. There are three types of truths: worldly truth, transcendent worldly truth, and ultimate transcendent worldly truth. Among them, worldly truth is knowing that the five aggregates are the origin and the suffering of aging and death. Transcendent worldly truth is knowing suffering, origin, cessation, and path. The noble truth that transcends the world is knowing that the five aggregates have no birth, this is knowing the truth of suffering. What destroys existence is knowing the truth of origin. Knowing that ignorance and predispositions do not exist in their own nature is knowing the truth of cessation. Being distant in the equality of Dharma and not superimposing on everything is called knowing the truth of the path. Thus, the truths are also empty in their own nature in the ultimate sense, so they are called non-existent. If the truths have no place of their own nature, then what is manifested? It is said in the Sutra of Inexhaustible Intelligence: What is a Bodhisattva who is skilled in the truths? This aggregate is suffering, whoever realizes that the characteristic of suffering is emptiness as it is, that is called the Noble Truth of Suffering. The five aggregates are the cause of craving and the cause of views, which is origin, whoever does not take the cause of craving and the cause of views, and does not superimpose, that is called the Noble Truth of Origin. Whoever knows that the aggregates do not arise at the edge of the past, nor move to the edge of the future, nor abide in the present, that is called the Noble Truth of Cessation. Whoever is absorbed in non-dual wisdom and knows that the four truths are emptiness, that is called the Noble Truth of the Path. It is not wisdom, it is not attainment, nor is it non-attainment, it is said that this is the field of activity for those who have entered the Great Vehicle of Bodhisattvas. This is the non-dual wisdom that has abandoned the two obscurations of afflictive obscuration and cognitive obscuration.
