It is called "knowing," but in reality, it is not wisdom, therefore it is called "no wisdom." What is called "attainment" is to attain from a state of not having existed before. If there is attainment, then there is also emptiness; if there is a fruit, then it will also perish. Therefore, the nature of the Buddha, which equally abides in the hearts of all sentient beings, is empty in the beginning and there is no attainment in the end. Mentioning the stages of the ten bhumis is merely the gradual removal of the imprints of ignorance from the alaya-vijnana. When the imprints of ignorance are purified, the wisdom of the Buddha is like a mirror, and for the realm of dharma, it is impossible to establish attainment and non-attainment, therefore it is said that there is no attainment and no non-attainment. Therefore, in the "Seven Hundred Prajnaparamita Sutra," it is also said: Not engaging with all characteristics is engaging with prajnaparamita. Having no attainment whatsoever is attaining unsurpassed bodhi. This is the merit of prajnaparamita. Although the unsurpassed bodhi of a yogi is the nature of emptiness, it is not that there is no fruit of the paramitas. In order to generate joy, the merits are explained. Shariputra, therefore, bodhisattvas, because they have no attainment, abide and rely on prajnaparamita. This means: Therefore, it refers to what was said above. No attainment means that there is no attainment of the fruit of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Abiding and relying on prajnaparamita means not abiding in all characteristics. No obscuration of mind means that there is no obscuration because the inner imprints and all outer characteristics have been abandoned. No fear means that because there is no obscuration of mind, there is no fear of samsara and the lower realms, and no fear of the profound dharma of no arising and no ceasing. Completely transcending perversion means that in the alaya-vijnana, the imprints of ignorance regard non-existent external objects as various appearances, and this is perversion. Therefore, having understood the selflessness of persons and phenomena, and having abandoned afflictions and cognitive obscurations
