The nature of it is the origin. Because one sees what is not there as being there, it is suffering. Because one does not understand that both existent and nonexistent dharmas do not exist, it is the nature of the path to be trained and the agent of training. Because the cessation, which is the manifestation of the Dharmakaya as a result of familiarizing oneself with the nature of the path, is beyond the realm of what is to be attained and the agent of attainment, it is said that there is no suffering, no origin, no cessation, and no path. Therefore, since what is to be trained and the agent of training are not established, it is said that all dharmas are like illusions and dreams. What is to be trained is just this mindfulness. However, although it is designated as being like an illusion and a dream, and is self-arisen and self-pacified, one should understand that meditating after kindling the lamp of bliss, awareness, and emptiness, compassion, is merely a symbolic representation of the essence of skillful means. Having symbolized it, and other than that, mindfulness does not wander, one should understand that that is merely the aspect of wisdom. Other than those two, what is unborn, one should understand that that is merely transcendence. Other than those, whatever thought has not arisen, that is called the heart of the Perfection of Wisdom. Therefore, the essential instruction on the meaning of the heart is that the meaning of all thoughts being like illusions, the meaning of not being tainted by thoughts is the meaning of emptiness, the meaning of not being tainted by thoughts and non-thoughts is the meaning of signlessness, and the meaning of not being tainted by birth is the meaning of wishlessness. By showing the meditation of the uninterrupted continuum of instructions. The individuals who recognize the meditation abiding in that way, and the individuals who do not recognize it in that way. For example, like the water element, gold, and space, it is naturally pure and is not tainted by sudden impurities. In that, when the lake is very clear, on the day of the full moon, when the clouds and fog have not obscured it, after seeing the manifested image, some are happy and content, and attachment arises. Some do not think anything. Similarly, when the clear mind, which is naturally pure, arises with different forms of samadhi like illusions, the mind is happy and content, and attachment and desire arise. The noble individuals who encounter the clear mind, even if they experience samadhi like illusions, they do not think anything. In that, the nature of gold, the color.

Some find gold pleasing and use it for adornment and wealth, etc. However, they find the suddenly formed verdigris ugly and generate aversion. Wise people, seeing that the verdigris is sudden, think it can be removed and do not find it ugly. Similarly, beings who have not encountered the clear mind cherish the mind in equanimity, find subsequent knowledge ugly, and generate hope and doubt. Noble beings who have encountered the clear mind know equanimity and subsequent attainment as like illusions and dreams, and do not engage in love and hatred. In that, space is only a name and has no substance. Due to the power of conditions, various phenomena such as darkness, white, and black arise. People count days and nights, months, years, and eons, and think that the earth and sky are very far apart. Wise people, looking between the earth and the sky, do not see even a fraction of a hair's breadth. Similarly, beings who have not encountered the clear mind suffer various hardships for countless eons, without being liberated from the mire of birth, aging, sickness, and death, desiring to obtain the fruits they desire, but it is difficult to obtain them. The profound Dharma nature, noble beings who have encountered the clear mind, if they realize it, the mind is liberated, and they do not see anything between sentient beings and the Dharmakaya. Therefore, beings of the three realms who have not encountered the profound Dharma nature have a basis of unknowing, a path of no birth, and a result that is beyond comprehension. That which arises from the twelve links of dependent origination, such as ignorance, is the aggregates and elements, etc. In that, self and what belongs to self are the aggregates of clinging. Due to ignorance, knowledge suddenly arises, becoming the cause of all suffering. This in turn becomes the suffering of suffering, the suffering of change, and the suffering of conditioning. Those who wish to be liberated from these sufferings must cultivate the aspects of the noble path, and for the sake of obtaining the fruit of nirvana, there is the pursuit of realizing cessation. All of these are realized as they are, like illusions and dreams.
