My own nature is established by negation, without needing to be established by its own nature. If all dharmas are emptiness and without characteristics, then how do they arise from their causes and conditions, and how do they cease according to their causes and conditions? For example, with ignorance as the condition, there is action; with action as the condition, there is consciousness, and so on, the arising of the limbs of existence; and with the cessation of ignorance, action ceases; with the cessation of action, consciousness ceases, and so on, the cessation of the limbs of existence. To show that these are not present in the Prajnaparamita, it is said, "Neither born nor ceasing." If that is the case, then how can the defilements and purifications with cause and effect, and the four noble truths, be established? It is said, "Without impurity, without separation from impurity," because the self-nature of the impurity of afflictions does not exist, therefore all dharmas are without impurity. Because there is no purification that comes from removing impurity, it is said to be naturally free from impurity, because all dharmas are naturally luminous. If that is the case, then on the immovable ground, because the faults of characteristics have been abandoned, it is naturally accomplished, abiding without characteristics, how is the reduction of faults? And how were the afflictions of the lower realms and universal ignorance, etc., previously abandoned in a rational way? It is said, "Without decrease," here it should be understood as faults. Similarly, for the ninth ground and the other three grounds, in order to successively obtain their respective accurate knowledge, great super-knowledge, and unobstructed wisdom, to show that the increase of qualities does not exist, it is said, "Without increase." Here, too, "with qualities" should be taken out from within, because it is also said that way in the Ratnakuta Sutra. Why are there only eight aspects, and why is the order also spoken in this way? Because what is said here is the essence of the Prajnaparamita, and the essence is also the most important, superior to all other limbs. The main meaning of the Prajnaparamita is the three doors of liberation, such as emptiness. That

It is encompassed by those eight aspects. Those aspects themselves are the order here, thus emptiness and signlessness are the samadhi of emptiness. The middle four are the samadhi of signlessness by preventing the four: birth, cessation, complete defilement, and complete purification. The last two are the samadhi of aspiration, thus one aspires to abandon faults or to obtain qualities, and preventing those two is desirelessness itself. Now, in order to show the result of looking at the aspects of the teachings, therefore, it is said, "Therefore, at that time," and so on. The so-called "therefore" is because of looking at the aspects of what is said. The so-called "at that time" is at that time. For truly seeing emptiness, it is combined with the appearance of "form is truly seen as invisible." Not seeing all phenomena is seeing emptiness. The appearance of "formlessness" and so on indicates the prevention of these aggregates, sources, and elements. Among them, from the appearance of "formlessness" to the final appearance of "no consciousness," it is the prevention of aggregates. Starting from the appearance of "no eye" and ending with the appearance of "no dharma," this is the prevention of sources. From no eye element to the intermediate word, the fifteen such as the form element and the eye consciousness element are shown by force. Because it is the last, it is the mind element and the mind consciousness element. Thus, for signlessness, unbirth, and non-cessation, etc., all so-called formlessness, etc., should also be combined. If aggregates, elements, and sources cannot exist in emptiness and signlessness, etc., then how do actions arise from the condition of ignorance, and how do actions cease when ignorance ceases? Similarly, how are the twelve links established as arising from their own conditions, and also ceasing when the conditions cease? It is true. It exists in conventional truth, because it is not emptiness and signlessness, etc. Therefore, it is said that there is no ignorance and no exhaustion of ignorance. The intermediate word shows actions, etc., by force.
