Furthermore, how should faults be attributed to the non-Buddhists? However, according to the second viewpoint, the previous moment is the cause of the subsequent moment. The faults of simultaneity and difference in time have already been explained, so they will not be repeated. Saying things like "only one is the ultimate truth" is a skillful way of guiding those who desire to attain nirvana. As it says in the *Inexhaustible Intellect Sutra*: "If there were no conditioned phenomena, what would be ceased so that nirvana would be true?" This refutes all those views. In the *Perfection of Wisdom in Twenty-Five Thousand Lines* and other scriptures, it is also said: "Even the perfectly complete Buddha is like an illusion, like a dream. Nirvana is also like an illusion, like a dream. If there were any dharma more excellent than nirvana, that too would be like an illusion, like a dream." Thus the Buddha spoke. Making the composition meaningful will be explained below. If one does not accept that the wisdom that is inseparable from the grasped and the grasper and free from elaboration exists ultimately, how would it not become non-existent? It will not become non-existent, because one accepts dependent arising in conventional truth, and also because in ultimate truth there exists that which transcends existence and non-existence. To turn away from existence itself and cling to non-existence itself is the extreme of nihilistic views, such as: there is no father, there is no mother, there is no this world, there is no other world, the ripening of the fruits of good and bad actions does not exist, and so on. And it is of the nature of denigrating the truth and the Three Jewels, etc., being so sinful in such a way, how could such a view exist when observing the extremely pure Madhyamaka system? In the *Ratnavali* it is also said: "The cause of ripening is water, having gone there with the thought of water, if one says that water does not exist, then clinging to that is foolishness." Thus it is said. And it is also answered with "For what you think does not exist, since bodhi depends on it, there is no mind, no acceptance, and no action, how do you know that it does not exist?" If, because of negating existence itself, it becomes non-existence itself, then non-existence itself

In order to prevent it, why wouldn't it become existence itself? If one acknowledges that non-dual wisdom truly exists, then for those who enter into different causes, if their wisdom is one of separate clinging, how could it be non-dual? If one doesn't cling to what truly exists, how could one be omniscient? If you ask whether you would have the same fault, it is not so, because what truly exists is seen precisely because it is not seen. It's like not seeing water in a mirage, which doesn't mean one lacks knowledge. As it is said in the scriptures, not seeing form is seeing form. In the King of Samadhi Sutra, it is also said that not seeing anything is seeing all phenomena. Similarly, like form, feeling and so on, up to the last consciousness aggregate, in short, it is shown to be emptiness of self-nature. Therefore, it should be understood like this: feeling is empty. Emptiness is feeling. Emptiness is not other than feeling. Feeling is not other than emptiness. Similarly, perception and so on should also be applied. In order to show that the aggregates, sense bases, and elements are also empty of self-nature, it is said, "Shariputra, if it is like that," and so on. The appearance of "if it is like that" is like the aggregates. All phenomena are the sense bases and elements, and it is combined with the appearance of "empty of self-nature." In order to show the form of observing emptiness of self-nature, and then to show the form of observing signlessness, "signlessness" is spoken. Because what is indicated by this or that is a sign. For example, the common characteristic of the form aggregate is that it is changeable, so it is form. The common characteristic of the feeling aggregate is feeling, so it is feeling. If you ask what the difference is in self-nature, there is a difference caused by self-characteristic and common characteristic. Self-characteristic is self-nature, which is the uncommon nature such as blue. Because all the phenomena of aggregates, elements, and sense bases do not have those common characteristics, they are signless. Signlessness itself and so on are also like that.
