Transformation. If it is said that because of being in a place, being luminous, and being complete, the name of the Bhagavan is particularly excellent, but not the Chakravartin, therefore he should not be called Tathagata, that is also unreasonable. Because even the distinctions such as being in a place have no distinction whatsoever in the essence of a material object. Therefore, if the Tathagata were to be completely distinguished by the nature of material objects, such as names, then the Chakravartin would also become a Tathagata, but that is not the case. Therefore, it should be understood that the Tathagata is distinguished only by having fully understood the nature of all things as they are. This shows that a Bodhisattva should abide in such a form of the Tathagata that is the cause of wisdom, with desire and aspiration. Now, in order to show that one should not be attached to the wisdom of the Tathagata in reality, the Dharmakaya is established, and two verses are used to show how a Bodhisattva should attain it by entering into meditative equipoise in yoga. Among them, the above verse shows how one should not view the Tathagata, and who should not see the Tathagata. How should one not view it? That is, by applying terms such as seeing. Who should not see it? That is, those who have entered the path of abandonment. The so-called "seeing in form" shows that beings who are attached to form actually apply terms to the Dharma and sentient beings adorned with names and the like as form bodies. The so-called "knowing in sound" means that I know from the sound that the Tathagata is such and such, which is a word expressing knowing. This shows the application of terms to hearing. These two terms are representative, and thus also include distinction and discernment. Those beings who have entered the path of abandonment because they have entered the wrong path, they cannot see me correctly. This shows that abandonment is the place of abandonment, which refers to the path. That is the wrong path caused by reversal, which is also the reason for not being able to see. So, how should one view the Buddha?

It is said, like "seeing thus" and so on. The true nature of all dharmas is called dharmata, and because it is established by reason and scripture, it is the nature of being peaceful from the beginning. That itself is tathata, dharmadhatu, the limit of reality, signlessness, paramartha, and so on. Because it exists in all times as such, it is tathata. Relying on it, all Buddhist teachings arise, becoming their cause, hence it is the dharmadhatu. Because it is not inverted, it is reality, becoming its limit, hence it is the limit of reality. Because it does not have any characteristics of things like blue, it is signless. Because it is the object of supreme wisdom, it is paramartha. Why should it be regarded as dharmata? Thinking of this, the dharmakaya is spoken of. The word "kaya" refers to nature. Therefore, the meaning becomes like this: Those who are established as tathagatas with true wisdom as their cause are, in the ultimate sense, the nature of dharma, and those who are the nature of something should be regarded as its essence, not regarding others as the essence of others. If that is the case, dharmata will become the nature of appearance. If it is not so, thinking about how those signified can be seen? After investigation, dharmata and so on are spoken of. Is it because one cannot, so one does not recognize? Or if one fully understands, will it be accompanied by faults? Thinking of this, not being able and so on are spoken of. If the nature of the dharma-body is established, then one can distinguish its dharmata, if when the own nature of the dharma-body is not established in the ultimate sense, then how can one distinguish the dharmata itself as the only lineage? Thinking that it is not the only existence. If that is the case, even the nature of true wisdom, the dharma-body Buddhas, since they are not established in the ultimate sense, so they are not seen, then how can they be regarded as dharmata? That is not a fault, those who do not see all dharma-bodies in the ultimate sense, precisely because they do not see those, can see dharmata. Dharmata is the nature of non-arising, therefore how does it grasp the clinging to arising that is not in accordance with it? Grasping a vase
