It is requested, "As in seeking the meaning of 'earth'." What is called "as I seek" is the explanation of various meanings. Someone might think, why is there neither complete enlightenment nor teaching of the Dharma? It is requested, "What is the reason for that?" What is called "unseizable" is because in the ultimate truth, it is not even the object of non-discriminating wisdom, as previously stated. What is called "unspeakable" is because it is not the realm of language either, because the object of all language is only the imputed generality, and generality is also without substance. These two are stated as the reasons for not having complete enlightenment and not teaching the Dharma, stated in order. If all things are unseizable and unspeakable, but still hold their own nature, then in the ultimate truth, only the self-nature of Dharma exists, someone might think, it is requested, "That is not Dharma either." Because in the ultimate truth, it is impossible for all things to hold their own nature in the manner of being naturally pacified. If that is the case, then wouldn't the Bhagavan be enlightened to non-existence? Someone might think, it is requested, "It is not the absence of Dharma either." That is the negation of non-existence. This shows the samadhi in yoga, and also prevents the extremes of addition and subtraction. Here, the reason is fully inquired, and the answer here is, because it is distinguished by the unconditioned. The unconditioned is the ultimate nature of all Dharmas. If analyzed with reason, then non-arising is only the nature, as previously analyzed. The Bhagavan said in the Essence of Right Reasoning: "Ananda, what is the non-arising, non-destruction, non-abiding, and non-changing of Dharma, that is the noble truth. Ananda, the Tathagata, considering this, teaches that the noble Shravakas are distinguished by the unconditioned." It is like what was said. This is always the same, whether the Tathagatas appear or do not appear.
