The assertion that difference is established in the ultimate sense is not momentarily established in direct perception, because it is unreasonable to apprehend other things with knowledge. Does knowledge apprehend things with aspects, without aspects, or with other aspects in one of three ways? For the time being, it is not with aspects, because when seeing the color of a painting, etc., since the knowledge is not different from the single color, then the colors will also become the nature of the single one, or the knowledge is not different from the colors, then the knowledge will also become the nature of the many, like the nature of the colors. If it is many, it is also unreasonable, because there is no experience of knowledge that holds only one atom, so one knowledge cannot be established. If one is not established, then many are not established either. Because many are the nature of a collection of one. Since knowledge, etc., has no body, then by what is it reasonable to imagine that the color of the painting itself, as the meaning of the upright object, produces many knowledge? It is also impossible for knowledge to arise covering the object and abiding, thus giving rise to complete grasping. Furthermore, if the entire self or one part becomes the same, it is not possible for the entire self to be the same, because, like things, knowledge would become the nature of matter. It is also not possible by parts, because the single one has no parts. Even if it is completely conceived as a part of differing distinctions, since things, etc., exist in all similar dharmas, then everything will know everything. If cognition is established by the two, arising from it and similarity, then it will also lead to grasping the immediately preceding concordant cause. Even if similarity is allowed, external things cannot be established in direct perception in the ultimate sense, because knowledge knows that it has blue, etc., aspects. By what can things also become direct perception? There is no second knowledge that knows the aspects of blue, etc. If it is said that the knowledge of that aspect itself is the knowledge that grasps things. Then, from the perspective of inference, it is possible, but in the ultimate sense, there is no such knowledge, because it is only knowing the aspect that one has. Things are extremely obscure, so how can there be such a thing as "it is only the aspect of that knowledge"? Because the cause necessarily only produces the creation of its own nature.

It is not established as the very act of doing, because it appears as delusion. The appearance of coarse particles is not the object of consciousness, because they are subtle. Their aggregation is also not, because they are not different things from them. The object of discrimination is also not a real thing. If the meaning of aggregation is other, then because it appears as different directions, and because it possesses incompatible qualities such as being obscured and unobscured, it is not reasonable to be one. Even if it is many aggregations, it will be those very atoms, it is not another meaning. The position of being without characteristics is also not, because it does nothing to blue and so on. If one knows only by existence, then all consciousnesses will know all, because there is no difference in all. Therefore, this cognition is blue, not yellow, so it cannot be distinguished, because there is no difference in the cause of distinction. If one admits a difference, then that itself becomes an admission of having characteristics, For the nature of consciousness, which is merely the nature of discrimination and has no difference, there is no other difference except for characteristics. The position of other's characteristics is also not, because it would be too extreme. If that is the case, then the consciousness of characteristics should also be regarded as having the object of form. Therefore, things cannot be established by direct perception. It cannot be established by inference either, because there is no established sign associated with the thing that has not become direct perception, and with consciousness and so on. If one infers consciousness, which is different from the result, merely as a cause in general, then the desired result will not be achieved, because there are other immediate causes. There is no other valid means of cognition either. Therefore, for the time being, external objects are not established. The nature of consciousness, the ultimate truth, cannot be established by direct perception either, because there is no separate cognition of the nature of non-duality. If it is not so, then one will not see that everything is just that. It cannot be established by inference either, because there is no established association with such characteristics and any sign. If completely afflicted and completely purified how
