etc., those are the reason for appearing. If this ego-grasping is an object of the body, then how can it grasp "my body" as something different? This is the same for those who have "I" as their object. If this ego-grasping is an object of these, then how would one think of "my self" at that time? If there is no difference in the things themselves, but because other differences are excluded, one wants to know only that much, just as saying "the body of a bubble," is it that there is no contradiction in grasping by considering differences? This is the same for those who have the body as their object. Having "I" as an object also contradicts arising in sequence, which will be explained below. It is also impossible to say that only ego-grasping is not "I," but its object, form, etc., is "I," because they and it (ego-grasping) have different characteristics. They are not of a single nature or independent because they are perceived in sequence. Therefore, the self-deity is not my characteristic, it is not because the proximity is different, it is said. If it is named, then there is no dispute about this as you wish. Therefore, there is not even a small amount of valid cognition that proves "I." There is no valid cognition other than direct perception and inference, which has already been analyzed elsewhere. A harmful valid cognition also only focuses on elimination. Thus, if "I" is not different from the aggregates, then at that time it will be momentary like the aggregates, or the aggregates will become permanent like "I," because there is no difference from it. The fault of becoming multiple like the aggregates is also difficult to avoid. Therefore, it is only the aggregates that are named "I," and there is no dispute about the name. However, if the aggregates are said to be different from "I," then at that time, because there is no connection with happiness, etc., it will not be established as the enjoyer, etc. The syllogism is: whatever is not related to happiness and suffering, etc., is not an agent or an enjoyer, nor can it be a liberator or a cyclical existence, like the son of a barren woman. And "I" has no connection with actions, etc., so the pervasion in this statement is not observed. The reason itself is also unestablished.

It is like this, if it is related to happiness and so on, then is it the nature of being a basis and a support? Or the nature of possessing? Or the nature of cause and effect? Or will it become these three situations? For the time being, the first situation is impossible, because it does not do anything. For example, for the dharma that flows downwards, such as water, if it is established as a basis by preventing it from flowing downwards, then for happiness and so on, because there is no body, it is impossible to flow downwards, then what can I do to become a basis? Being a support is also impossible, because the support and the supported are not different, it will become the same, and this needs to be negated. If the support and the supported are different, then it is not beneficial to the supporter, because the support becomes another meaning. For it, there is no power to generate the support, because it needs to be clearly stated that there is no power for everything. For the self-changing nature, there is nothing that acts as a support, because it is originally a support. If it is not like this, then it will only destroy it, not act as a support. For the unchanging nature, what can acting as a support do? Because it originally abides in the firm nature. Therefore, because it does not do anything, the relationship of possession is also unreasonable, because it will be too extreme. If it is like this, then everything will become the cause of everything that possesses. It is unreasonable for different things to possess different things, because like an iron hook, everything abides in itself. Also, if by the power of possession, I become happy or painful, then at that time possession is unique, because there is no difference, so it will not be related to the nature of happiness and so on that are determined separately, therefore, I alone, even by happiness and so on, will not make everything become happiness or pain. If it is admitted that it is determined by the power of the invisible, then if it is determined only by it, then what is the use of completely examining possession? Because it has no power anywhere. For the different entities that have a relationship, if they are bound by different entities, then in the ultimate sense, if things do not have a difference in nature, then by what can the difference that depends on the difference in nature arise?
