Subhuti, the Dharma is equal. Equal Dharma) is to grasp the sound of perfection, thus showing the common characteristics of all beings from the perspective of Bodhi. Among them, "the Dharma is equal" refers to what Dharma is used to establish Bodhi and Buddhahood. Because it is known that there is no inequality in it, it shows that all Buddhas, in the ultimate sense, also have no inequality in terms of lifespan and so on. The unsurpassed perfect Bodhi is equal because it is without life. Showing Bodhi from the common characteristics of Samsaric Dharma means that all virtuous Dharmas can clearly attain Buddhahood. Fully showing the path of Bodhi means that those are also like that, and those are also established by the characteristics of the ultimate meaning. From the perspective of establishing great meaning with a perfect mind, it is widely said how many Mount Sumerus there are in the three thousand great thousand worlds and so on. From the perspective of establishing the great meaning of the instructions, the Tathagata thinks that I have liberated sentient beings and so on, which is widely said. If you ask, will the Tathagata be attached to me? Because the Tathagata knows all that is to be known, therefore, if you think of sentient beings, then the Tathagata will be attached to me, and it should be viewed in this way. In order to eliminate the manifestation of clinging to the self, even if there is no self, there is still a temporary clinging to the self, Subhuti, clinging to the self means no clinging, which is widely said. Ordinary people think that it exists, but in reality it cannot be clung to, Subhuti, ordinary people, refers to those who have no beings, which is widely said, those are like that. From the perspective of the perfect mind fully grasping the Dharmakaya, Subhuti, what do you think? Can the Tathagata be observed through perfect signs? It is widely said. Among them, the first verse clearly shows how it is not seen and by whom it is not seen, how is it not seen? It is from seeing and so on.

These terms, and so on. What is called renunciation is meditation; whoever meditates, that is called a renunciate. That is, thinking and meditating. Among them, thinking is grasping what is not, and meditating is knowing as it is. Entering through renunciation, one should know that it is grasping the term of knowing as it is. Who does not see? It is those who have entered into terms. The first half of the second verse clarifies what is not seen, and the second half clarifies by what cause it is not seen. Among them, "The Buddhas see the nature of reality" means that in terms of this Dharma, it is the meaning of the Tathagata. By what cause is it known? It is said, "The guides are the Dharmakaya." Because the Buddhas who pervade and focus on suchness are the extremely pure body, therefore, they should contemplate the nature of reality, which is to contemplate that. If one asks again, by what cause should it not be contemplated? Because the nature of suchness, the nature of reality, is not to be known as it is in words, and because it is to be realized by each individual themselves, it is not seen as it is in words, therefore it cannot be known. To clearly explain this meaning, it is said, "The nature of reality is not to be known, therefore it cannot be known." Similarly, here, the support of the Dharmakaya is not to be contemplated as the Tathagata, which will be clarified by "not perfect in signs," that is, not perfect in signs is to be contemplated as the Tathagata. To dispel the thought that one has attained unsurpassed perfect enlightenment because of the cause of perfect signs, therefore it is said, "Subhuti, what do you think? If one clings to the thought that one has manifested unsurpassed perfect enlightenment through the perfection of signs," this is explained extensively. Those aspects are like that. In terms of the perfection of mind, it is the freedom of dwelling in samsara and nirvana. Subhuti, you also think that those who have correctly entered the Bodhisattva path, this is explained extensively. Among them, for whatever Dharma that cannot be destroyed, it is the nature of reality as it abides.
