The Extensive Commentary on the Seven Meanings of the Vajra Cutter, the Noble Bhagavati Prajñāpāramitā. The Great Teacher Vasubandhu. The Extensive Commentary on the Seven Meanings of the Vajra Cutter, the Noble Bhagavati Prajñāpāramitā. The Great Teacher Vasubandhu. In Indian language: Ārya bhagavatī prajñāpāramitā vajracchedikāyāḥ sapta dārtha ṭīkā. In Tibetan: The Extensive Commentary on the Seven Meanings of the Vajra Cutter, the Noble Bhagavati Prajñāpāramitā. Homage to the Noble Prajñāpāramitā! She who gives birth to the unequaled Buddha and all dharmas, She who is the mother nourishing the dharmadhātu, The indivisible Vajra, accomplishing the benefit of others, She who, when held, gives birth to all the noble ones. She who possesses the power of merely her name, Called Vajra, the supreme Pāramitā, He who taught her, and the meaning of her words, Having heard, I too strive to hold her. Those of her, those Also for the sake of wisdom, To her, I bow with the crown of all things. In order to grasp the meaning of others' explanations, I too exert myself in explaining. By distinguishing into seven places of meaning, this Prajñāpāramitā is distinguished. These seven places of meaning are as follows: the unbroken lineage of the Buddha, the characteristic of perfect combination, its support, the antidote, non-degeneration, the ground, and the reason for the name. These seven places of meaning are the support of the Prajñāpāramitā, and for this reason, they should be called places of meaning. The six places of meaning complete the activity of the Bodhisattva, and by the seventh, it should be understood that the necessity of this Dharma category is completely shown. This Prajñāpāramitā also begins with the unbroken lineage of the Buddha. How is the lineage of the Buddha unbroken? That is, the Venerable Subhūti first asked the Blessed One, how many benefits does the Tathāgata benefit the great Bodhisattvas with, saying that the benefits are wonderful, etc., extensively. Among them, the benefit is the manifest perfec

At the time of enlightenment, when turning the wheel of Dharma, Bodhisattvas are fully matured, in order to fully establish Bodhisattvas in the five places of meaning in Dharma-nature. Complete entrustment is to benefit those who are not yet mature, in order to allow those times of complete nirvana to abide, through benefiting and complete entrustment, it is fully shown that the lineage is unbroken. The characteristic of complete union is how Bodhisattvas should abide, and so on. The place to abide is through intention and aspiration. The place to accomplish is through absorption in yoga. The place where the mind should be completely held is through cutting off distractions. Among them, intention is manifest desire, aspiration is the meaning of manifest desire, manifesting and focusing the mind. Absorption in yoga is non-conceptual samadhi. Cutting off distractions is returning from praising non-absorption and abiding in absorption itself. The first completely holds the path, the second perfects the path, and the third completely shows that the path does not degenerate. Its basis is the characteristic of complete union itself, that is, the basis should also be known as eighteen aspects. For example, generating Bodhicitta, the union of Paramitas, desiring to obtain the Rupakaya, desiring to obtain the Dharmakaya, realizing the difference in practice without arrogance, pleasing the Buddhas, the aspiration to purify the Buddha-field, maturing sentient beings, being separated from attachment to meaningless non-Buddhist scriptures, being separated from the union of grasping the entirety of the body of sentient beings with form, offering and honoring the Tathagatas, returning from the complete suffering of fatigue, being separated from uninitiated gains and honor, enduring suffering, being separated from tasting the flavor of samadhi, and being separated from the clinging of thinking 'I' at the time of realization.
