It transcends time. A place is called a house where one can truly settle down, and it arises from there. The name "Galava" signifies the palace of the Tathagata. The word "there" also indicates that it has passed. Because it dwells outside the place suitable for sitting near the seat prepared by the Bhagavan, it transcends the place. These two, transcending place and time, are the basis for discussion because they show the difference in thought. Looking at the Tathagata, etc., as it is said: From the jewel seat, the Bhagavan, with a crest of light, spoke to the noble Manjushri: Whoever's view of the Dharma of the Bhagavan is utterly pure is the utterly pure view of the Tathagata. When it is not by body, nor by mind. Not revering, utterly not revering, not being arrogant, not being respectful, dwelling without dwelling. Having attained equanimity, the mind abides in a solitary lineage. Being mindful and aware, that is paying homage to the Tathagata. When one does not cling to self. One does not cling to Buddha. One does not equalize what is equal. One does not make unequal what is unequal. One does not differentiate, but becomes utterly one with the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. One realizes that the body of the Buddha is also the Dharma body. One also sees that one's own body belongs within the realm of Dharma. What is seen is not unseen. One does not see separately. It is not far. It is not near, that is honoring the Tathagata. Thus he spoke. Thus, seeing and so on are the cause. The benefit of sentient beings is the result, and those will be explained later. Because it is praise for a life without afflictions and without faults, it is called "Long-lived." Seeing and so on of Shariputra and others should also be applied to all. Manifestly entering, manifestly entering, appearing in two forms, like bright, bright, or like gentle, gentle. Manifestly turning towards the Tathagata, or manifestly turning and entering towards the meaning spoken, is for the sake of abiding.

Up to the point of entering and abiding for the sake of non-action. It is for the sake of striving as it is in those entities where views and so on have already been shown. In some books, it says, 'Having surpassed and exceeded, knowing the gathering,' there also, it should be understood as having surpassed place and time. The Shravakas, such as Shariputra, are great because of wisdom and miraculous powers, and so on. Or, because of hearing, they are Shravakas, that is, all those to be tamed. They themselves are great because they are many. Knowing the gathering as an assembly, and so on. The word 'also' is to determine that the three activities of the Bhagavan mentioned above are limited to this, not like in the Twenty-five Thousand Verse Sutra, and so on, where the beings to be tamed are guided by samadhi, miraculous powers, and transformations, and so on, because the mind-streams of the beings to be tamed have already entered into the characteristics of small, medium, and large. That which has already entered into the aspect of complete maturation is also indicated by the words 'entering manifestly, entering manifestly.' Some people distinguish between outer and inner places, and analyze what should be done into two, thinking that it is unreasonable to connect the two words 'entering manifestly, entering manifestly,' because both sound and meaning are unreasonable. 'Son of Sharadvati, why' and so on, is that Shariputra has transcended time and place, and the Bhagavan asked about the intention of coming, in order to show the retinue that the first to come was the noble Manjushri, who has an extremely excellent intention. 'At the very beginning of all, Manjushri' and so on, is because Manjushri is truly skilled in showing the Tathagata's view and so on, and is also the first to come. Shariputra also said, 'That is Manjushri.' 'Knowing' is because he is constantly in equipoise. The noble Manjushri, who has attained the Dharmakaya and entered Buddhahood, if also combined with such diligence, thinking that there must be a great necessity, in order to generate reverence in the retinue for the Tathagata's view and so on.
