Thus he requested. Because it is an augmentation and a complete examination. Non-existent refers to the self-entity that is completely examined by non-Buddhists and Hearers, who think it is an independent person, as well as the nature of the aggregates, etc. Since the independent person, etc., are invisible, if what is completely examined by non-Buddhists is said to be non-existent, then how can the nature of the aggregates, etc., be non-existent? Therefore, it is said, "not a view of the perishable collection," because neither I nor others have determined the existence of the self-nature that arises now. From any cause, it does not transfer, and in any result, it does not transform. Therefore, since the three times are not observable, the body, which is the object of such complete examination, is established as not being a view of the perishable collection. Such an aspect, whatever is existent and non-existent, the equality of the view of the perishable collection, observable and unobservable, that is the true limit, because it is the nature of non-perversion. This is the Dharmakaya. The path of meditation has been taught, and its object is the limit of things and the images with and without conceptualization. The object of the tenth ground and the Tathagata is to abide in the ultimate, therefore it is the complete accomplishment of what is sought. Thereafter, the Blessed One, the venerable Shariputra, requested as follows, etc., under the two paths of seeing and meditation becoming the result, it is time to show the three kinds of faith that are the cause of them, just as after proclaiming the omniscient, the path knowledge, etc., are shown. In any "Ornament for Clear Realization" and the extensive commentary on the "Eight Thousand Verses" that is in accordance with it, it is also shown that faith is the path of meditation. That is not reasonable, as it is said in the "Explication of the Thought Sutra": The ground of faith practice is the Paramita, the seven grounds of Joyful, etc., are the increase of the Paramita, the eighth ground, etc., are the great Paramita. Similarly, what was taught by the noble Inexhaustible Intelligence, and the Bodhisattva Pitaka and the seven births of the Tathagata.

It should be understood from the sutras that explain the arising of things. Also, from the Distinguishing the Middle from the Extremes, it says, "For the faculties and the powers, the factors of ascertainment are two each." Similarly, it should also be understood from the Bodhisattva-bhumi, the Summary of the Great Vehicle, the Entering into the Abhidharma of the Great Vehicle, the Entering into the Grounds, the Flourishing of the Doctrine, and so forth. The rest is omitted. Faith also has three aspects: one's own benefit, the benefit of oneself and others, and the benefit of others. Among these, with regard to one's own benefit, it is said that they will definitely become enlightened, which should be understood as unsurpassable enlightenment. In the reasoning, it is said, "Having heard this exposition of the Perfection of Wisdom," and so forth. The characteristic of the two paths, hearing the exposition of the Perfection of Wisdom mentioned above, is to manifest it with the knowledge arising from hearing. Faith is to firmly grasp and understand, "This is it, not something else," and to practice for the sake of one's own benefit. Not being afraid, and so on, has already been explained. Determination is to undoubtedly become a vessel for enlightenment. How is it? Here, the nature of the method for attaining enlightenment is clearly explained as it is, and having heard it, one correctly understands the application, the main part, the subsequent stages, and the order, without fear, dread, or becoming afraid. Therefore, faith and attention are powerful. This will undoubtedly plant the seeds of similar causes and the ripening habitual tendencies, and if one gradually becomes accustomed to them, one will attain a state of great purity. Therefore, it is reasonable to say that it is determination. With regard to the benefit of oneself and others, it is said that they have approached enlightenment. Third fascicle. This explains that the result of faith in one's own benefit is determination, therefore this is specially explained. Like this, because this has the benefit of others, and possesses greater love and so forth, as well as self-
