The aspiration has been declared. Prior to that, the sixteen moments of the path of seeing have been declared. Those sixteen are: Suchness and the Buddhas, without mutual dependence, not assenting by names, together with the great nature and the signless, immeasurable and endless, the form abiding therein, definite apprehension in Buddhahood, without acceptance or rejection, emptiness such as love, the attainment of Buddhahood, completely gathering all purity, destroying all diseases of manifestation, the quiescence of clinging to nirvana, protected by the Buddhas, etc., starting from not killing, in the manner of all-knowing, establishing beings in their own place, completely aspiring to enlightenment such as giving, is the moment of the wisdom of the path. Thus it is said. Those are to be known as the limits of the objects of calm abiding and insight. When the path of seeing was declared in that way, with delight or assent, it was said twice, "Good! Good!". Manjushri, this profound Dharma of yours, in this way, the so-called "in this way" means "for what reason". The so-called "in this way" refers to the limit of the characteristics of the object. The so-called "profound" is because it is free from the limits of superimposition and defamation. In truth, it should be known as the path of seeing, the Dharma of one's own nature, which is shown and explained to sentient beings, because that is the time for it. The so-called "establish this seal" is because these sixteen Dharmas of the path of seeing are the cause of inspiring faith. It is a seal and a sign. In order for those who have not understood the subtle parts of the nature of sentient beings who are determined in the three vehicles respectively, those who only see the near shore, those who have not distinguished between Bodhisattvas and others, to be able to truly realize that Bodhisattvas are Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, therefore you have established this seal. Whoever has desire for this Dharma, like a lion's roar, like a lion cub, does not fear hearing the Dharma, etc., this seal will surely determine that they are Bodhisattvas. Whoever...

Just as deer fear the sound of birds, and just as creatures born in alkaline water do not like fresh water, it should be understood that those of the Hearer Vehicle who are arrogant, or those of the Bodhisattva Vehicle who are attached to characteristics, do not like and are afraid of (this Dharma). Because they are separated from the mudra that is the mark of a Bodhisattva. The so-called "those with arrogance" are a category of the Hearer Vehicle, they are satisfied with the Bodhi of Hearers alone, and call it peaceful and one-flavored. Or it is thought that they are practitioners of the Pratyekabuddha Vehicle, and it is recorded in the scriptures that these people are completely immersed in pride. The sutra says "They have not served one Buddha" etc., which means that these people serve one Buddha, which is serving one Buddha. Or it can be understood as "What does it mean to serve one Buddha?", it is not like that. These people practice serving one Buddha, it is not like that, but they have served many Buddhas and accumulated roots of virtue towards many Buddhas. Fear is panic and fear, which occurs occasionally. Panic is constant fear. Becoming panicked means that even if you leave, it will happen again and again, like a persistent plague and an intermittent plague. Others say that this is the difference between small, medium, and large. Unlike those people, so they are not afraid, etc. Therefore, after the Path of Seeing, which is encompassed by pure intention, the Path of Cultivation, which is encompassed by the three pure trainings, will be explained. As it is said in the sutra: The small of the small, etc., is purified in the nine grounds, the great of the great, etc., is the antidote to all defilements. Among them, the second ground is due to the purity of higher morality; the third ground is due to the purity of higher intention; and the eight grounds of light, etc., are established due to the difference of the purity of higher wisdom. Among them, the Tathagata (qualities) are to be obtained by the Tathagata through the truth of the arising of all wisdom, so it is not explained here.

In addition, the other nine are explained in sequence. In order to accomplish the prediction of the Blessed One, I am confident in extensively explaining the profound Prajnaparamita. The term "extensively" refers to an adverbial phrase that expresses slightly more confidence than what was mentioned above. "Manjushri, be confident!" This indicates the Blessed One's permission. Among them, the higher training in discipline is the three paramitas of generosity and so on. The paramita of diligence is to go everywhere. The higher training in mind is the dhyana paramita. The higher training in wisdom is the prajna paramita. Only these six can accomplish the meaning of sentient beings and the abandonment of afflictions. The four, such as skillful means, are the companions of these. Thus, the assembly of sentient beings who are grasped by generosity and so on, with skillful means, cause them to engage in virtue. Therefore, the skillful means paramita is the companion of the higher training in discipline. Because afflictions are particularly heavy in the visible dharma, one cannot constantly practice meditation, and one is particularly attached to the inferior realm. The higher intention is weak, so in order to truly practice shamatha and vipassana, those who cannot settle their minds internally and cannot realize transcendent wisdom, having done a little merit and abiding, those people in the next life make aspirations with small afflictions. With small afflictions, one can initiate diligence, so the aspiration paramita is the companion of diligence. When relying on a noble person, hearing the true dharma, and relying on proper attention, thereby dispelling the weak higher intention, in order to obtain a powerful higher intention in the form realm, therefore, the power paramita is the companion of dhyana. The wisdom paramita with which wisdom can accomplish transcendent wisdom, that is the companion of this prajna paramita. From the perspective of those two, the Blessed One abides in what dharma?
