Change occurs because of seeing faults and virtues; otherwise, it is not so. Practicing the Perfection of Wisdom is not clinging to faults and virtues, because there is no abandoning or accepting. To summarize that reason, the Blessed One said, "One does not seek even the faults of samsara," etc. One does not seek or think about the faults of samsara, caused by desire, etc., such as birth, old age, sickness, and death, and the virtues of nirvana, caused by the practice of the aspects of enlightenment, such as strength and fearlessness; that is the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? To that question of "Why is that?" the Blessed One said, "Like this, if one does not even see samsara itself for a while." Samsara itself is also temporary, which is in relation to faults, and is not seen for a while. Nirvana itself is also not clung to for a while; here, the order of "temporary" is in relation to virtues. Those are established to approach the meaning of not clinging to oneself, because they are written for that purpose. The Blessed One said, "One does not accept or," etc., for any Dharma; this is the conclusion. One does not accept or cling to any Dharma of the Buddha; for some differences, accepting is accepting, and becoming its nature without difference is clinging, because accepting and clinging are spoken of together, so the meaning is distinguished in that way. The word "path" is mutually dependent in all places. Abandoning the Dharma of ordinary beings and definitely liberating, there is not; this word is used in all places. It has already been explained that there is no accepting and no abandoning, etc. Now, loving-kindness, etc., and emptiness will be discussed. In order to briefly explain the immeasurable, etc., and emptiness in that way, the Blessed One said, "There is no decrease in any Dharma," etc. For any Dharma, one's own incompatible aspects, such as hatred, etc., and the decrease and exhaustion caused by views, and the practice of the immeasurable, etc., and emptiness, those things that increase and become more vast
