It is said that it binds with... Thus, when one is completely familiar, at the time of knowing, the remaining other-dependent nature abides in emptiness, and that is also the nature of consciousness. By the absence of consciousness, it is absent. The absence of consciousness, as the venerable Shariputra said, is that consciousness is separate from the nature of consciousness. Thus it is declared. As it is said, who sees that which is spoken? That is not called inner. This is the emptiness of emptiness. Again, one contemplates, is there no ultimate truth of Dharma either? If that becomes empty, how is it its ultimate nature? How do the Vajra-like Samadhi of the Buddhas focus on that? If that exists, then all phenomena exist, should it follow? Again, one ascertains thus: the so-called ultimate truth is that no Dharma exists. Whatever this state of accomplishment of the Tathagatagarbha is, it is not the nature of Dharma. It cannot be said that it exists. Because it is established as the nature of the absence of both the apprehended and the apprehender of the completely imputed. Because of the nature of non-existence, it cannot be said to exist. It also cannot be said to be non-existent, because it is not existent by the nature of being free from duality. If it is said to exist, it would become an extreme of superimposition, because it would follow that it exists by its own nature. If it is said to be non-existent, it would become an extreme of denigration, because it would follow that it is completely non-existent like a rabbit's horn. Therefore, since neither can be said, it is similar to non-existence. What is said about the Vajra-like Samadhi focusing on that is also that the non-conceptual, transcendent wisdom of the Buddhas does not focus on anything slightly. However, in beginningless samsara, at the time when one is accustomed to the nature of the apprehender, even though there is no apprehended from the self-nature of the knower, one still grasps one's own self.

It is considered to enter in this way. This is because that is equal, so it is called the nature of the object of equality and the subject of equality. The object and the subject are that itself, so it is called equality of equality. This is how it enters, that is the ultimate truth, because there is no other dharma, so this is called the ultimate truth emptiness. As it is said: Your little is not born, a little causes to cease. How it was before, so it is afterwards, suchness you should realize. The noble ones rely on this, but do not rely on meditation, without the mark of wisdom, in what way does it exist? O Bhagavati, for this, sons of gods, all dharmas are like illusions, like dreams. Even the perfectly complete Buddha is like an illusion, like a dream. Sons of gods, even nirvana is like an illusion, like a dream, I say. That which is said in this way, that itself is what is shown here. As it is said: Seeking each dharma separately, it is called permanent. Therefore there is no ultimate truth, dharmas. It is said. How emptiness is seen with the aspect of ultimate truth, that emptiness is the ultimate truth emptiness. Again, it should be considered, if all dharmas are emptiness, then conditioned dharmas will also become empty. It is also not reasonable in that way, because even the emptiness of conditioned things, which is obtained by the accumulation of merit such as giving, etc., for countless three kalpas, will not become enlightenment. It is determined again, there is no other dharma called conditioned, if it exists, then it will not become conditioned. Because what is called conditioned, arises truly from conditioned, and is done by causes and conditions, therefore it is called conditioned. If something called conditioned exists, then it will not be done by others. Because the ultimate truth dharma cannot be done by anything. Therefore, since it arises entirely from the imputation of children, it becomes such a name, and it is spoken by becoming such a name.

That is so. Birth, duration, and destruction, which are the characteristics of conditioned phenomena, are also merely nominal designations. Therefore, the basis is also produced by being merely nominally designated. Because, with regard to the Dharma of ultimate truth, it is not reasonable to have characteristics that are nominally designated. It is not reasonable for one Dharma to have three characteristics. If ultimate truth were to become a conditioned Dharma, then this would be the emptiness of conditioned phenomena. As it is said: That which arises in dependence, does not arise. Who is the owner you speak of? Thinking again, then unconditioned phenomena have an ultimate nature, because they are unconditioned. If that were not the case, then with the words "ultimate virtue, liberation arises," the attainment of ultimate virtue, Nirvana itself, would not change for the Bodhisattvas. Again, ascertain in this way that unconditioned phenomena are not other Dharmas. Unconditioned phenomena are not spoken of because of the nature of the absence of conditioned phenomena, not because they are ultimate truth. For example, space is the characteristic of being unconditioned. Other than this, there is no established characteristic. Cessation through discrimination is also the characteristic of the absence of all conditioned phenomena. Similarly, cessation not through discrimination is also called the characteristic of the destruction of conditioned phenomena. Therefore, even according to the Hearers' view, these are not the nature of ultimate truth. What need is there to mention looking at it in terms of emptiness? For them, realizing emptiness is called the emptiness of the unconditioned. As it is said: Two virtues are for the sake of attainment. Virtue is conditioned and unconditioned. In the Bhagavati Sutra, it is said: This perfection of generosity is increase, and this perfection of generosity is decrease, this does not occur to a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. However, again it occurs in this way, this is just a name. For example, all such as the perfection of generosity. Similarly, the Blessed One said
