The saying, "Form is like the rays emanating from the mandala of the sun," is often seen in ancient books, and this is reasonable. However, how is this reasoning to be understood? In the past, teachings such as the ocean and other limitless things were used as metaphors, and those metaphors were shown to be similar, such as "Form is like the ocean," and so on. Following the various forms of Mount Meru, it was previously said, "Form is limitless," and so on. Therefore, here too, saying "like Mount Meru," and so on, after this, wherever it is seen saying "Form is like the limitless," and so on, that is reasonable. Form and so on, just as it was mainly explained before, it can be said that "Form is like form." There, it is not possible to say "similar to itself." Therefore, it should not be said like this, but why is it said that it is seen in many ancient books? The saying, "Form is separate from the accumulation of virtuous and non-virtuous dharmas," means that accumulation and separation are completely separate emptiness, because only form is its essence. Therefore, "Form is like the creation of virtuous and non-virtuous dharmas" is the meaning. From "Form is separate" to "even the Buddha's Dharma." Whatever is all the Buddha's Dharma, those are form, because they are regarded as non-different, so it means "like the Buddha's Dharma." What is form separated from? It is emptiness, and that itself is the essence of form. That itself is the suchness of form. The emptiness of form, in this context, is the meaning expressed by the word form. The saying, "Form is emptiness," is the essence of the nature of emptiness, which is the limitless nature of phenomena. The saying, "Form arises from the activity of the mind," means that the activity of the mind is the act of grasping. Its arising is like something regarded as non-different, that is the meaning. The saying, "until non-perception," is what was said before.

The form of color is separation. The so-called self-nature of color and the thusness of color refer to the word between the dependence of what is said. Color is separation, as well as the self-nature of color and the thusness of color, as well as the unobtainability of color, as well as good and non-good being regarded as undifferentiated, therefore it is the meaning of being similar to that. Subhuti, if it is so, the so-called "if it is so" refers to how this Prajnaparamita, the self-nature of all-knowingness and the wisdom of the path, the two previously shown, are also briefly and similarly shown in this chapter, that is the meaning. One should know it accordingly, which means one should seek it accordingly. What should be done after that? What is said is, to know it accordingly, which means that it can be heard through the collection of letters. To practice accordingly means that it can be known through the body of meaning. Entering means that one can believe. Realization means that through the abiding of mindfulness, the scriptures and meanings can abide in his mind at all times. Thinking means that because the meanings spoken are in numerical order, they can abide approximately at any time. Measuring means that one can discern that meaning with reason. Approximate knowledge means that only through these can all doubts be cut off, so one can hold "this is that." Will practice means from the outside. Eliminating the faults that hinder practice is the cause, etc. For this, illusion means that one is clearly not a practitioner, but shows it approximately to others for the sake of gaining benefits and respect. Flattery means that one has the ability but does not accomplish it accordingly. Laziness means being very attached to things that have high praise. All arrogance refers to the present clinging to the so-called "I" and "mine" and "form" and "feeling." The word arrogance comes from a word ending in "Nica." Therefore it is arrogance. Praising oneself means that I am not distracted, and ordained, and have a beautiful appearance, and am pleasing, and have heard much, etc. Slandering others means that others are...

Such as "One born from a base place cannot be very learned," and so on. Again, because wisdom that is in accordance with reality does not arise from the notion of self, etc., therefore, it is abandoned. Whatever conceptualization arises from afflictions is all conceptualization. At that time, this will become difficult to obtain, and so on. "All qualities" refers to the qualities of a Bodhisattva. "The Buddha-field and the complete perfection of qualities" means the end. So, this Perfection of Wisdom Sutra is the main text for teaching emptiness. Because emptiness alone is taught here in many ways, again and again, until the end of the Sutra. If this were to occur incidentally, then there would only be a single refutation. In the great ones, sixteen emptinesses are taught, such as the emptiness of the internal and the emptiness of the external, and so on. If you ask, why are these not taught here? The answer is that they are taught, but with other names. What are these "other names"? They are the names that are appropriate to the occasion, with the main meaning of other meanings, which is teaching, which is speaking. The meaning is that it is taught by the very branch of the speech of the main speech, by the very meaning of the secondary speech of the teaching. How did the Bhagavan say this: "Subhuti, you should rejoice" to "If, O Bhagavan, I do not see or perceive a Bodhisattva, whom should I instruct and where?" to the words "This is the instruction and the subsequent teaching," the main part of the instruction that is certain to arise has been taught. Furthermore, what is said here, "Not perceiving a Bodhisattva," is the emptiness of the internal. Likewise, other emptinesses should also be understood. As the teacher Dignāga said: With sixteen well-distinguished aspects, how is the order of emptiness? What is taught in the Eight Thousand Stanza Sutra should be known by other different names. However, emptiness is only one, in which all phenomena are one by their non-duality.
