The chapter that explains the middle is the chapter of constancy, which is the thirtieth chapter. To negate the grasping of the form body as the Tathagata, it is said: Son of the lineage, and so on. If the form body with coming and going is not the Tathagata, then what is the Tathagata? For this necessity, it is declared that the ultimate Tathagata, with the nature of suchness and possessing the essence of the Dharmakaya, is: not moving from suchness, whatever is suchness, that is the Tathagata. This shows the characteristic of permanence, the Dharmakaya, which is contained by suchness and purity. Furthermore, possessing a completely pure aspect, the nature of other-dependence, which can be attained through complete transformation, for the so-called birth, to dispel doubts, this characteristic of non-birth is declared: Whatever is unborn, that is the Tathagata. Regarding the characteristic based on mirror-like equality, discriminating awareness, and accomplishing wisdom, it is said: Whatever is the true limit, that is the Tathagata. To completely transform the aggregate of consciousness, which has the characteristic of knowing things as they are, for the sake of the non-dual characteristic, it is said: Whatever is emptiness, that is the Tathagata. It is not the characteristic of acting with the nature of being without conceptualization and other-dependence, nor is it the characteristic of selflessness of the nature of emptiness that exists in the ultimate sense. For the characteristic of self-awareness, which is to be known individually, as an opportunity, it is said: Whatever is as it is, that is the Tathagata. Knowing as it is, here is the nature of as it is. Regarding the characteristic of all afflictions, as an opportunity, it is said: Whatever is free from desire, that is the Tathagata. Showing the characteristic of not being accumulated by karma, it is said: Whatever is cessation, that is the Tathagata. The purity accumulated by karma, here is cessation. With the nature of pervasiveness and the difficulty of understanding, for the characteristic of space, as an opportunity

What is done and said is: The realm of space is the Tathagata. So, is the body adorned with the thirty-two marks of a great person and the eighty minor marks the Tathagata? Again, is the nature of suchness, etc., not? What is said is: Noble son, the Tathagata is not outside of those dharmas, meaning that the extremely pure suchness is the intent of the Tathagata. Because that is the meaning of the ultimate body of those. Thus, after saying that suchness, etc., and the Tathagata, etc., are not different, in order to show that they are extremely non-different, it is said: Noble son, what is the suchness of these dharmas, etc. The meaning of these dharmas is suchness, etc. What is called suchness is the emptiness of the nature of complete imputation, because in the nature of complete imputation, suchness is also not the ultimate truth. What is the suchness of all dharmas, is the aggregates and elements, etc. What is the suchness of the Tathagata, these are the only suchness, etc., with these a general exposition is made. The reason given is, because there is not, meaning because there is no substance. It is not because there is no common nature of ultimate existence. Now, for what is said in an implied way that form is not the Tathagata, the non-existence of the nature of other-dependence is explained by example, noble son, like and so on. What is called noon, because it has truly arrived, so it is time. If you ask what noon is, it means that it has arrived at noon. Having the nature of a child, it is because one has such an idea for what is not so. Having the nature of perverse wisdom, it is because one has such an idea, because one has not completely abandoned it. Thus, noble son, whoever is attached to the Tathagata appearing as form or sound, those are, etc. Because Visakha is a difference that tends to the meaning of the realm, so for the actor it is ཀྟའོ། . For example, a town.
