For sentient beings, it becomes like this: with boundaries and without boundaries. Others are attached to various letters, but not to various meanings. Therefore, they say like this: neither I nor the world are with boundaries. Another situation is, if someone says they only see a single past life, that is called with boundaries. Others see and say many past destructions and births, that is called without boundaries. Still others see and say that the future is only destruction, and many past destructions and births, that is called both with boundaries and without boundaries. Because of various letters, like before, some see me as having form. Others think of me as formless. Others think that parts of the body have form. Others think that parts of the body do not have form, and if those with form say it, that is called with boundaries. If those without form say it, that is called without boundaries. Others think that parts of the body are with boundaries, and formless parts are without boundaries. Others, because of various letters, like before, say that life is the body, and so on. Some see me as having form, and they say that the body is me, how do these people speak of annihilation? These, like the power of intoxication, the mind itself is also the nature of knowledge and happiness, and is considered the nature of bodily pleasure, etc. It is said in the sutra, "This is dependent on form," up to "This is dependent on consciousness." If someone thinks of me as formless, they will say that life is one thing and the body is another. For those who are attached to me, because they are attached to me, the sutra says that I and the objects they are attached to, such as form, from "those dependent on form" up to "dependent on consciousness." However, these places of view are all said to be unexplained. So how can it be said to be one-sided? Because it is not explained in the sutra. There, the Blessed One also did not use a part to make a one-sided conclusion, did he?

When asked about the extreme view that the world is permanent or impermanent, and that life belongs to others and the body belongs to others, the Blessed One said: This is not an extreme view made for you by those who speak of extremes. This is not meaningful for you, nor can it give rise to the mind of the noble ones, nor can it lead to detachment, nor is it for the sake of directly realizing the undying. Therefore, the extreme view that I have made for you is: This is suffering, this is the origin of suffering, this is the cessation of suffering, this is the path leading to the cessation of suffering. The extreme view that I have made is for you to attain the meaningful, the direct realization of the undying. Having thus shown the various views, how does the Blessed One know and show with all-perfect conventional wisdom? As it is said in "Subhuti, it is so," etc., separating and joining, speaking and adding, slandering and defaming, these are their words, these are what is said in the sutras of the cause of arising, which we have shown. Having thus shown the conventional nature, in order to truly point to Suchness, this is wisdom, thus showing and proclaiming, as it is said in "Subhuti, furthermore, the Tathagata," etc. If asked how to know form, the answer is: As Suchness, as it is in reality. To establish in Suchness means to uniquely establish what Suchness is, which means what is the meaning of Suchness. Now, in order not to distinguish between all phenomena of the world and beyond, and all noble phenomena, and the Tathagata and Suchness, because of the nature of Suchness, to show by way of gathering all phenomena non-dually by the nature of Suchness, as it is said in "Subhuti, therefore," etc. This Suchness is the one and only Suchness, etc., this is extensively explained, Suchness is the only one, how the Dharma-nature of all phenomena is the only one, how all phenomena

The statement "Having various forms, it also exists as such" refers to being separate from various things and non-things, meaning that whatever exists or does not exist that is different from multiplicity and all dharmas is separate from them, and is neither different from all dharmas nor non-different. The statement "How is it like this?" means "Because it is not one, and because it is not different." If Suchness were to have the same nature as things, then upon seeing things, Suchness would also be seen, and therefore ordinary people who see things would also be liberated. Therefore, the intention here is to say that it does not have the same nature as things. As for difference, the falsity of all dharmas cannot be established, because being free from duality is their falsity, which is also extremely different from them. Thus, after briefly showing the Suchness with defilements to the forms and so on that are completely conceived by ordinary people, and the inexpressible nature of being the same and different, the nature of being completely pure and completely accomplished is spoken of as "because it is inexhaustible," and so on. Exhaustion is decrease. Because it has abandoned all obscurations, it does not exist there at that time. "Because it is immutable" means appearing to some extent, which should be explained as because there is no difference in state. "Because it is non-dual" means having the characteristic of being devoid of things, because there are no different dharmas of things there. Because there is something that makes it different, it is said "because it cannot be made into two." Thus, and so on, it is to summarize and show the truth of the ordinary world. In some books, after "truly showing the world," there is "Subhuti, the Tathagata truly shows the world in the world," and so on, up to the explanation of "the mother who gives birth and the one who nurtures." This is also added to be related to Abhisamaya, that is, in the previous books.
