Therefore, it is immeasurable, because there is no limit to the entry of all objects of focus. That inexhaustible mind is inexhaustible because, as said about the correct mind, it is based on the perfection of wisdom, and in the ultimate sense, it is empty of inherent existence. "By what" means possessing qualities such as blessings. "Thus, as it is" means that by the nature of emptiness of all knowable minds, and immeasurable and inexhaustible qualities, etc., in the ultimate sense, it is well understood. "To focus on equality with equality" means with the wisdom that abides in the nature of the object of focus and the subject of focus. The reasonability is explained as: immeasurable and inexhaustible like the sky, the meaning of which is this: one knows a little about what is immeasurable and exhaustible. The mind of the Thus-Gone One, with the power of the perfection of wisdom, is immeasurable and inexhaustible like the sky due to its signless nature. What is its entity? It is said, "What will not be completely known." Furthermore, "those that are gathered" refers to virtue. "The gathered objects of focus" refers to the Abhidharma scholars. If asked, what is the mind that is gathered, it is said that it is exhausted with the gathering, and exhaustion is also non-exhaustion. Exhaustion is the gathering of objects of focus, that is, knowing that the mind is exhausted in the conventional sense, that itself is exhaustion. In the ultimate sense, it is inexhaustible, because the nature of the mind is inexhaustible. Thus, for the nature of the gathered mind, in the way it is, because of the nature of non-existence, when it is known in the ultimate sense, it is called the gathered mind. That is, gathering is exhaustion, and exhaustion is also non-exhaustion, which is recited in some places. There, the gathering of objects of focus is the non-exhaustion of the mind. That is also non-exhaustion, because for the nature of the non-exhausted mind, it is exhaustion. Therefore, the Thus-Gone One also speaks of gathering exhaustion and exhaustion also as non-exhaustion. In some places, it is recited that non-exhaustion is with non-exhaustion. That is, conventional exhaustion is non-exhaustion in the ultimate sense, and that is how it is known. Furthermore, "those that are distracted" refers to

Because of distraction and being truly in accordance. Truly gathering is dullness, and the true gathering of the mind is true gathering, because it draws the entry into the realm of the five aggregates of consciousness. That is distraction, that is, truly the same as other afflictions, which refers to the latter ones. The Kashmiris do not respect this, for if that were the case, it would follow that the same thing is both a true gathering and a distraction. Because afflicted dullness is truly combined. True gathering is said to become distracted because it is truly in accordance with afflictions other than that. From the nature of reality, it is said, is through the emptiness of the essence of the nature of the mind. From that emptiness, because it is of one taste with the emptiness of all phenomena, what is said to be distraction or exhaustion refers to non-distraction and non-exhaustion. In some places there is such a reading: Subhuti, those minds that are distracted in the nature of reality, because they are without characteristics, those minds are inexhaustible, non-distracted, those minds are well known as they truly are. Among them, from the nature of reality means from emptiness. Distraction is in conventional truth. What is ultimate truth? It is inexhaustible, because it exists by abandoning the moments. Inexhaustible is because the continuum is near to pacification. Non-distraction means that the true arising of going outward does not exist. Why is it said to be such an aspect? It is said to be without characteristics, because it means empty of its own characteristics. In other ways, the non-apprehension of the mind can also be expanded, Subhuti, moreover, all afflictions, because it is truly combined with afflictions, and truly arises in reality, all afflictions are unwholesome. It is not that all afflictions will become all afflictions, for those are all afflictions that have become non-existent, because the objects of all afflictions do not exist in ultimate truth. All afflictions are because they enter through false imputation. Non-indication is because in ultimate truth
