Then, for what reason and in what way will Maitreya also teach the Prajñāpāramitā with these names, etc., after attaining perfect enlightenment? The intention is this: If there is a real connection between sound and meaning, then the meaning indicated by the Tathāgata with eyes, etc., will also be indicated by other Tathāgatas with the same eyes, etc. If the meaning of the Prajñāpāramitā, which is perfectly enlightened, is not related to the sounds of Prajñāpāramitā, etc., then how can this teaching, which does not depend on the connection with meaning, make the collection of names, etc., definite? Here, the Blessed One answers "in this way," etc., the intention is this: When form, etc., are free from the nature of parikalpita and paratantra, and appear with the nature of emptiness, the so-called bodhi is the same as all Buddhas. That is also the nature of dharmatā, the same as form, etc., which can be realized by each Buddha with their own wisdom, and from the ultimate truth, it cannot be shown to others. Relying on conventional truth, for the benefit of sentient beings, the Blessed Buddhas begin to teach. Otherwise, if one also enters the dharmatā of form, etc., because it cannot be done, the manifestation is hidden behind. Therefore, relying on conventional truth, how one realizes the meaning is how one teaches. In the past, present, and future, it is also indicated by these names, etc. Therefore, Maitreya, after attaining perfect enlightenment, will also teach this Prajñāpāramitā with these names, etc., which is reasonable. The so-called "for what reason" is to show the proximate cause of the question, that is, Subhuti's saying "in this way," etc. The form of dharmatā, because it is naturally pure, is not defiled by all the adventitious stains of elaboration, and it cannot be said that it is not emptiness, nor is it bound, nor is it liberated, so it is said.

That which is called non-emptiness, some recite as "neither permanent nor impermanent," the meaning of which is the same. The abiding and joyful one speaks with the power of true meaning and perfect qualities, which is called "completely pure." "Form is completely pure" means that when forms and so on do not appear with the nature of the completely imputed and the other-powered, then it is called "not completely pure," because at that time the nature of emptiness appears. Therefore, the distinctions of forms and so on are completely pure, and the nature of all phenomena being completely pure abides as one with the Perfection of Wisdom, therefore it is said that "form is completely pure," which is to say that its complete purity is proclaimed. That which is called "form is unborn," means that when form is completely transformed by the nature of reality, there is no appearance of birth, cessation, defilement, and purification. At that time, form becomes completely pure, otherwise it is not. This commentary is something that the previous Blessed Mothers did not have, but it is said that it was taken from the great teachings and added to the meaning combined with realization. That which is called "space is completely pure" is like how space, even though it has sudden clouds and fog, is not impure, because its nature is pure. Similarly, the Perfection of Wisdom is also said to be pure because it is not stained by form. When the Perfection of Wisdom sees that all phenomena such as form are purified from the afflictions of complete imputation and the stains of elaborations of discrimination, because it is free from all objects of focus, it is said that the aspect of non-focus is completely pure. Others also recite the sound of "no grasping," because in order to show complete purity, the union of space and phenomena is approached, and it is said with non-attachment: "Space is pure because it is non-attached," just as space is called completely pure even though it previously had sudden stains such as clouds. Those people with...

The meanings of "tainted" are different. Others say that emptiness and echo are unspeakable, inexpressible, and inconceivable, so they should be recited. The meaning of this is: just as the sound of two echoes is heard in the sky, but here, the echo of sounds and sound shadows exists, so it cannot be said that this of the sky is a sound, because there is no desire to express the difference. Therefore, the unspeakable nature of the sky itself is not tainted by speech. Furthermore, even so, when combined with Abhisamayalankara, one will be conceited as being unhappy, and recite that emptiness and echo are unspeakable, inexpressible, and inconceivable in themselves. The explanation for this is: any echo in the sky cannot be expressed by its universal nature, so all dharmas cannot be expressed. Inexpressible means that even if one says that the difference of all dharmas is expressed, it is the most supreme expression. Precisely because of this, there is no thought of its self-nature, so it is specially summarized as "inconceivable," and the self-nature of those is that, and thus completely pure. This recitation was not done by the upright, but by the self-righteous selfish, even so, it is circulated in many books, so it must be explained. The so-called "tainted" and "untainted" etc., all afflicted dharmas are tainted, and liberated dharmas are untainted. Those are tainted and untainted, that is, the dharmas of tainted and untainted. Everything is, and those are also, because those are not tainted, so they are untainted, because both are inconceivable, so those are pure. Thus, in order to proclaim the extremely pure Prajnaparamita, what is said by the abiding one whose abode manifests due to the increase of faith is well obtained, and so on. Why is the attainment well obtained? What is said is that those who enter whose ears, and so on. In order to generate faith correctly again, what is said is the benefit of the dharma of direct perception, for those people, eye diseases will not occur, and so on.
