The absence of duality is also the meaning of equality. So when will it become a true dedication? (The sutra) says, "If that," the tone of "If that" is the meaning of "if." Just like the state of deep sleep, satiety, and fainting, not attending to things is not the antidote to reversal. However, just seeing things, using the eyes of wisdom wrongly, and not being able to comprehend the essence of things is the meaning. This "also like this" is the meaning of approaching. If one thinks that how taking signs and dedication are not contradictory is reasonable, (in response to this) doubt, it is said, "This is that," etc. Bodhisattvas refer to those (saints) such as Buddhas, and those (good dharmas) such as roots of virtue, and those minds such as rejoicing, all of which are focused on relying on the conventional truth. Relying on the ultimate truth, then all taking of signs and not taking of signs are not objects of focus. Therefore, all taking of signs and dedication, with the power of skillful means, are reasonable for Bodhisattvas, this is the (sutra's) intention. Similarly, for this skillful means, what is the means? (The sutra) says, "For this skillful means," etc. "Because of not possessing hearing," this is the remainder of "this or that." What is dedicated in the Prajnaparamita is itself an act of merit, and entering into it cannot be grasped, this is related. That "in that" refers to when it exists like that. It should be said, "Do not say that in that." What is this referring to? It is "Whatever," etc. If one can do that without relying on this, why? (In response to this) doubt, it is said, "Actions also cease," etc. The meaning is that if one does not rely on the Prajnaparamita for dedication, then what is my thing, and what are the conditioned dharmas that can truly exist, those themselves are taking of signs, all of which are discrimination, after taking signs, discrimination, and dedication are also like that.

The departed should not be followed. Dedicating good food as equivalent to poison is a complete dedication. Therefore, it should not be completely dedicated in that way. Nor should it be learned. "Cessation" means that which was previously said to have passed away, which is exhaustion. "My things" means that which is completely contained by the aggregates such as the form of the inner self, the bodies of the Tathagatas, etc. "Actions" means roots of virtue and minds of rejoicing, etc. In the conventional truth, it is also said that cessation itself is the nature of an undesirable object. In the ultimate truth, it is also proclaimed as peace, etc. Peace is the nature of the completely imputed, because it is unborn from the very beginning. Solitude is empty of the nature of the completely imputed, it is the nature of other-powered. Devoid of object means that which is empty of object, the perfectly established, because it is the nature of non-object. However, the reason for saying "however" is that my things and actions are not existent, nor are they close objects, even so, the suchness is taken as a measure, and it is a discrimination of the unreal. For the unreal, having a real cognition, intensely dedicating my close object to the non-objective, true and complete enlightenment. Therefore, what is said as "what" refers to its roots of virtue, etc. "Complete Nirvana also" means that the word "also" is for the meaning of difference. Therefore, one should not be too attached to characteristics. Having poison is because it is deluding and causes death. Having pain is because it has been truly entered into inverted views for a long time. This is shown by example, for example, "for example," beautiful is because the color, etc., are excellent. "However" means "if also." "However" means "in any case." "The wise" means those who know especially.
