This is the meaning of "doing." It is shown to increase the thought of killing by "how" and so on. The so-called "Alala, killed" means that "Alala" is a wonderful thing. Likewise, extreme protection is also surprising to say "I have killed." The so-called "well killed" means that this matter is well done, who is killed. The so-called "extremely killed" means that this is extremely killed, and how can it not live. If you ask who did it like this, the answer is "I have killed." The venerable Shariputra said to the venerable Subhuti that for the sake of the newly initiated and unfulfilled Bodhisattva, because of discrimination, he recollects the difference between dreams and awakening, and says, "Venerable Subhuti, if" and so on. The Blessed One and others said again like this. If, because of discrimination, there is a difference between dreams and awakening for the newly initiated, then the Bodhisattva should also have accomplishment. However, the Blessed One should also have differences between dreams and awakening because of discrimination. The so-called "exhaustion thought" means the exhaustion of wisdom that my faults are exhausted. That also means karma. Like a newly initiated Bodhisattva, because of the discrimination made during the day, the near accumulation and what is done in the dream become exhaustion, so he recollects. The so-called "that is not" means that the Blessed One who does not abide in the non-discriminating wisdom, sees that all dharmas have no object, and has transcended the world. How can you, because of discrimination,

Furthermore, to explain the difference, it is explained as "Thus" and so on. "Thus" means according to the order of what is said. In some books, "Reverend Subhuti, if the Blessed One, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened One" and so on, are not read separately. It should be read like this: its karma and so on, or exhaustion. Immediately afterwards, Subhuti's own words are "Reverend Shariputra, thus" and so on. The meaning is clear. "Because there is no object, it does not arise; because there is no object, the mind does not arise" means that mind, consciousness, wisdom, and discrimination have the same meaning. The meaning is that because the killing done in a dream is without self-nature, seeing that all dharmas are unborn and without object, even transcendent wisdom, because each ordinary person understands with the nature of dreamlessness, that objectless mind will become an object of non-reality. Therefore, there is no additional Vipaka there. The killing done during the day is not made non-substantial by the actor of each ordinary person. Therefore, that mind and the object of the mind are the object of reality, due to the intention of the actor, therefore there will be additional fruit for that. If that is the case, what is done in a dream will become without an object, and what is done when awake will become with an object. Therefore, there will be a difference between dream and wakefulness. If so, the statement that all dharmas are like dreams is destroyed. To refute this view, it is said "seeing" and "hearing" and so on. For new practitioners with objects, regardless of whether things exist in the ultimate sense or not, in dreams and when awake, consciousness follows seeing, hearing, feeling, and knowing. As a result of this operation, some consciousnesses become fruitless. Some fruits are small, some are completely attached to afflictions, and some tend to be purified. That's it.

If someone asks what should be said, for beings, time, and combined bodies, due to the lack of perfection and the influence of adverse conditions such as dullness, it arises from the object of slightly seeing knowledge, etc. How could it be without fruit or with small fruit? "When the venerable Subhuti" etc., the meaning is this: All dharmas are empty of inherent existence. From this word, with karma as the object, the object of thought, empty of inherent existence, is separation. Then, how to establish with an object or without an object? Therefore, emptiness refers to the absence of inherent existence. Subhuti said, "Based on characteristics" etc., the meaning is this: Here, seeing the bodhisattva mahasattva who sees without an object, it is not transformed from the occasion. To act with an object is extremely suitable here. Therefore, through it and non-discrimination, it is definitely shown with an object and without an object. "Characteristic" also refers to the object. Among them, whatever is not fully understood is because of universal affliction; whatever is fully understood is because of complete purification. In this way, how can ignorance, etc., not be fully understood and become suchness? As it is said in the sutra, "Conditioned by ignorance, actions" etc., among them, taking the absence of deluded wisdom as the standard, and making it the object, this is its meaning. It arises relying on worldly conventions. "Convention" refers to not relying on ultimate truth. Arising means arising from a pure mind with an object. Furthermore, Venerable Shariputra stated other previous views, namely "When the venerable Subhuti" etc. The meaning is this: Let alone the beginner bodhisattva, if a bodhisattva whose continuum is fully matured, if he gives alms in a dream, and his dream and waking are the same, just like when he is awake, giving alms etc. in the dream, and rejoicing.
