It is shown through the power of the wise and the dedication. The so-called "meaning of going to the other shore" refers to the meaning of the nature of going to the other shore. Because of the self-nature of emptiness, there is no increase or decrease. Being arrogant in this way will lead to two situations where one cannot attain Bodhi: either holding onto views attached to generosity and other perfections, or being arrogant about the self-nature of emptiness in the ultimate sense, not engaging in the actions of the perfections, or not dedicating to perfect Bodhi. Neither of these two situations is acceptable. Regarding the first situation, saying there is none refers to "this is merely swallowing"; regarding the second situation, saying there is none refers to "he practices generosity" and so on. The so-called "those mental activities and those aspirations" refer to those who practice generosity. The so-called "those roots of virtue" refer to those who are perfectly combined with those aspirations. The so-called "dedicating as Bodhi is" means that if it is like that, then the dedication will not be for Bodhi. Similarly, the following should also be understood in this way. The tenth question was asked, referring to "what is this again?" For perfect Bodhi, the question is also asked because the suchness of the ultimate sense, which is no different from form and so on, is taken as the essence. Continuously means again and again. The so-called "many" refers to continuous. The so-called "Subhuti, like that" and so on are summaries. The chapter focusing on emptiness is the eighteenth chapter on emptiness. In the context of the profound meaning, the eleventh question Said "what else" and so on, attaining unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment through accumulating roots of virtue. So, how is it said to be accumulation? Suppose this Bodhisattva, before the three great asamkhya kalpas, with the power of the initial aspiration, what will he attain and become a Buddha? Is it the second or the third? Or which

Therefore, by the power of the final mind generation of all beings who abide in the essence of Bodhi, one will attain complete and perfect enlightenment. However, complete Bodhi is not attained by a single thought, because such a mind does not possess such power, and the completely superfluous accumulation of merit would also become meaningless. Nor is it by the minds of all beings, because there is no accumulation among those moments that have become different. Thus it is taught, as the Blessed One Dipamkara taught. The wick of an oil lamp is the wick. 'Initially burning' means that it burns only by itself, not burning the remaining wick. Similarly, it should also be applied to the case where the later flame is not touched. This is clarified by Subhuti, i.e., 'It is not so' etc. Burning the wick without remainder is accomplished by all the flames touching in the order of its own parts. The Blessed One mainly combines, i.e., Subhuti 'Thus' etc. Just as the wick is said to burn by the power of all moments when it is burned up. Similarly, it is also taught that complete enlightenment can be attained by the power of all sentient beings, because even if there is only a moment, it can be transformed by the logic of entrusting the habitual tendencies of action. It is not so by those mind generations, i.e., because they do not have power individually. It is said that it is not only that those do not have power, but that one cannot attain complete enlightenment by others (minds) other than those mind generations. Moreover, revealing a deeper point, i.e., 'Which mind ceases, therefore will it arise?' Cessation means cessation by nature, uncreated, like a rabbit's horn. 'It is not so' means, does a rabbit's horn have the meaning of arising? Is it said that the mind that arises has the nature of ceasing? The created mind means that which has the nature of ceasing, it will cease, i.e., there is no second cessation.

Is it said that whatever arises in the mind is subject to cessation? If the mind that has truly arisen, when it has not arisen for the sake of the future, what is it that is subject to cessation? The answer is: No. Because the unborn dharma is not related to any dharma. When it has the nature of cessation, there is no cessation either. The answer is: No. What is the dharma of non-arising and non-cessation? It refers to the mind of the nature of beginninglessness and endlessness, which will not cease either, because the mind is free from permanence and annihilation. What is the dharma of self-nature that is inherently ceased? It is like the horns of a rabbit that have never been assembled before. What mind is ceased, as mentioned before? Just as it arose before, now it is said for the sake of cessation. The answer is: No. The nature of all dharmas is emptiness. The immovability of emptiness is the self-nature of all things. How can it cease? If it abides in non-cessation, will it exist forever? The answer is: What do you think, etc. Subhuti asked: Is it that the suchness is as it is, and it abides in suchness as it is? Dharma-nature, emptiness, and suchness are different names. It is not constant and unchanging. Then, the dharma-nature that does not arise or cease and exists forever, will it become a permanent dharma? He asked: No. If the self-nature of all dharmas, suchness, truly exists forever, will it become an extreme of annihilationism with knowledge? As it is said: Non-duality, non-entity. Existence is the characteristic of emptiness. That is to say, it is not the essence of substance, therefore it is not said that abiding in permanence is permanence. Then, how can it be said that ultimate truth exists, but it is not substance? It is said that substance exists. What is substance? It is these five aggregates, twelve sense bases, and eighteen realms, etc.
