As the doer, namely, the thusness of the Tathagata, and so forth. In all ways, not distinguishing place, time, and so forth, is called non-distinction, as before. "Thus" means that because of the nature of non-distinction and non-distinction, the Tathagata in emptiness, that same one, is also transformed by Subhuti. Emptiness is the nature, stained by habit, because of being turned by the wind, it is firm like the nature of Dharma, like the nature of stone. This is the meaning. These two are neither time divisions nor different, meaning they are abandoned by those who harm. Because the maker of difference is not seen, meaning what is the cause of the maker of difference between the two and the transformation of suchness, because it is not seen. The near gathering is like this and so forth. Now, because the thusness of the Tathagata and the thusness of all dharmas are of one nature, it shows that the abiding follows the Tathagata, namely, like the thusness of the Tathagata and so forth. "Not different" means not different. Because there is no duality, not different is also this, and suchness is also this, therefore it is the thusness of not different. Following him, meaning he follows the Tathagata. Following the order of what is said, in order to dispel doubts about the reality of the Dharma, namely, in this place, somewhere, and so forth. "In this" means the near showing of following, "somewhere" means Subhuti or another. "In somewhere" means not following the Tathagata or approaching closely, because the Dharma of following does not exist in reality. This is the meaning. "Like this and so forth" is the near gathering. "Like the thusness of the Tathagata and so forth" is to show this. Like the Tathagatas in the nature of imputation, those who fall into the three times, suchness is also not held by the three times, like all dharmas.

For those who have thoroughly examined, their suchness is not truly encompassed by the three times. Similarly, the suchness of the Elder Subhuti is not truly encompassed by the three times. Therefore, it is said to be in accordance with the Tathagata. By "the suchness of the Tathagata," etc., this is indicated, that is, because the suchness of the Tathagata is the suchness of phenomena such as the past, therefore, because it is the nature of all suchness, it is the suchness of the Tathagata, called the suchness of Subhuti. The great nature spoken of for this suchness is "that is this suchness," etc. The so-called "will obtain the name of the Tathagata" is because it has been said, "Subhuti, this Tathagata is called the terminology of true suchness." To have gone in suchness is to have obtained. There, abiding truly in one's own nature is the Tathagata. Regarding what arises in this teaching, it is said, "Also at the time of this teaching," etc. How the six kinds of changes and the eighteen great signs change is from trembling to extreme roaring. There, trembling, shaking, leaping, agitating, flashing, and roaring are called the six kinds of changes. There, due to two causes, these such as trembling will arise extremely, that is, the joy and great joy arising from the powerful gods hearing the sacred Dharma, and from the sound of the sun being completely surrounded and agitated. For the stable world, it is also in order to make the Dharma taught by the past Tathagatas the lord of freedom, and in order to know the meaning of the great nature, from the power of the Dharma nature. There, to shake intermittently in one direction is trembling. To shake with all nature, like trees, is shaking. To revolve like a firebrand wheel is leaping. A sound that is not extremely frightening, but certainly steals away, is agitation. Agitation itself is flashing, profound.

The sound is rumbling. Or the earthquake and all the trees swaying, and all the mountains collapsing and the drums of the gods mingling, and the oceans and so on flashing and the clouds rumbling. Those previous initial states see slowly and slowly, what is said. With shaking and swaying and so on. Later it becomes more changed, whatever is extremely changed and extremely shaken and so on, what is said. Later it becomes huge, whatever is universally extremely shaken and universally extremely shaken and so on, what is said, shaking and so on small, medium, and large generally want to express in the same way, so it is said to be six changes. Small, medium, and large themselves want to express the difference, so it becomes eighteen great signs. As it is said, it is Tathagata and so on, after showing the great signs in this way, the Venerable Subhuti shows in the main way, it will be related to the display. Furthermore, the Venerable Subhuti said to those gods, this chapter is not available in some places, because it is not related to this. Saying the great signs is the author of this treatise, therefore the author made the opportunity to show the main, the others are still the others. In this way, etc., whose words will it become. In this way, the gods, etc., are the subsequent summary of the previous efforts to establish. Another way of saying is another etc. It is not born according to form, because there is no form. Because the Venerable also does not exist, so it is not born according to form. The Venerable does not exist is to be proved, and the reason is that it cannot be approached for observation. Whose refers to the dharmas that produce and so on. The Venerable is the agent. Following birth refers to the agent's case. Whose refers to form and so on. Following birth
