It is called "The Chapter of Subhuti." Whatever teachings of the Prajnaparamita are in between, it is said that they should be understood from the Chapter of Subhuti. Because it begins and enters from the Prajnaparamita of all-knowingness, it is said that one should seek it from there in that teaching. To show the profound realm of the Tathagata's activity, starting from all-knowingness, the praise of Subhuti is inconceivable, and the king of gods asks, "Whose power is it?" Because that teaching was previously made the place, therefore Shariputra said, "This is the Tathagata's," meaning this. If it is also said as it is said in the Chapter of Subhuti itself, then because the assembly of gods is now entering, the question called Indra would not correctly arise at that time. To show this, Subhuti recollects and says, "Then," and so on. Thus, the venerable Subhuti shows that in the conventional way, it is by the blessing of the Tathagata that he himself is able to teach. Now, in the ultimate way, he says, "One should not seek from form," meaning that form and so on do not exist. "Nor should one seek from other than form," this is because the Prajnaparamita itself is also non-existent, so it is said that there is no difference, because there is no difference. Why is that? "Form is not Prajnaparamita," this is because both form and Prajnaparamita are non-existent that it is said. "There is no Prajnaparamita other than form," meaning that it is not possible to speak of difference by non-existence itself. Thus, because the nature of emptiness is shown to all dharmas, it is the blessing of the Tathagata, and in the Chapter of Subhuti, the nature of emptiness itself is also shown. Thus, in the ultimate sense, it is only emptiness itself that is blessed, and it is only sought from emptiness itself, and because in that teaching it begins and enters from emptiness, that is the meaning.

Furthermore, the various pronouncements made by the four forms of Indra, even temporarily, are closely arranged, such as the so-called "Great Perfection of Wisdom," and so on. To the meaning proclaimed by Indra, the praises of Subhuti, including the elders, are recounted. Therefore, it is Subhuti himself who proclaims it. Why is that? And so on. The perfectly established characteristic of form, whether it exists or does not exist in the three times of past, future, and present, whether it arises or does not arise, whether it is or is not, because there is no complete determination, it is great. Similarly, the Perfection of Wisdom is also great in its perfectly established characteristic. Because it is without measure, there is no complete determination. Because it is without number, it is immeasurable. Because it is without characteristics, it is infinite. In some texts, after "Why is that?", they add "Form is infinite," and so on. Because no one has said these things, the questioner is merely reckless. Therefore, if there is attachment to the Great Perfection of Wisdom and so on, then it will be shown that there is no greatness and so on. Similarly, it is the same for the so-called "Great Perfection of Wisdom" and so on. Furthermore, infinity is taught through two divisions: the infinity of objects and the infinity of sentient beings. And how is it? And so on. "All dharmas" means that from the nature of the Dharmadhatu in ultimate truth, there is no limit, which is the prior limit of arising. "No middle" refers to the momentary abiding. "No end" means that it is not the limit of cessation. Non-apprehension of these is because all dharmas are of the nature of emptiness. Thus, having shown infinity through the non-apprehension of limits and so on, by the perfectly established nature of all dharmas, now it will also be shown by the nature of the imputed and the dependent.

The reason for speaking about dependent origination. Furthermore, it is said that because there is no beginning, middle, or end, it is spoken. For limitless beings, even if there are countless hundreds of millions of beings, they naturally proceed and ask, such as "How?" The meaning of "innumerable or many" is not to transcend number, but it means that it is not measured by the number of "limitless." Then how is it? The word "then" means intolerance. "What is the ultimate word of Dharma?" Dharma is not the ultimate word of forms and so on, because they do not exist. "Nor is it the ultimate word of no-Dharma" refers to the selflessness that is different from forms and so on. "Examination" refers to what is fabricated by the ignorant. Why? Because it is false. Why is it false? Because where there should be a true and definite examination, there is no examination. Why are there no things? Because there is no substance of the characteristics of forms and so on, and the characteristics of self. Because it is related to self, it is slightly said "mine," but that is also non-existent, because self is completely non-existent, therefore there is no "mine." The object is the realm, because there is no realm, there is no object. If in this teaching, some beings are indicated, if that exists, then limitless beings should also be indicated. Because there are no beings by nature, beings cannot be indicated, therefore here limitless beings do not exist in the ultimate truth. Therefore it is said, "What do you think?" and so on. "Are there limitless beings?" means that because there are no beings, limitless beings cannot be indicated either. Below, limitless beings do not depend on words, but the absence of beings shows that limitlessness is self-nature, which is indicated by "if" and so on. "Speaking" is through language. The complete knowledge of the world beyond boundaries means that the sound of understanding the meaning exists in this word, and it is spoken like that. Even so, the sound is profound because it is very vast.
