No. That is said to be the instruction and subsequent teaching here. The cause of Ani arises from Ona and so on, like Dharini. In this way, after first completely accomplishing the instructions for definitely arising, secondly, the benefits of definitely arising are spoken of as "furthermore" and so on. Four kinds of benefits are spoken of for the great ones, namely, completely understanding the dharmas such as form that should be completely understood, abandoning the attachment and hatred that should be abandoned, completely perfecting the perfections such as the pāramitās that should be completely perfected, and manifesting the samādhi and so on that should be manifested separately. These views of the object of focus are not there, therefore it is called the accomplishment of various benefits. After explaining that one should not be arrogant towards all dharmas, it is said there that one should not be arrogant even towards the mind of enlightenment as long as it exists. Here, because it is a summary of the teachings, therefore, regarding the mind of enlightenment, the bodhisattva does not become arrogant towards the object of extreme arrogance, and by saying that, it is accomplished that one does not become arrogant towards all dharmas. Therefore, completely understanding what should be completely understood, abandoning what should be abandoned, completely perfecting what should be completely perfected, and the benefit of what should be manifested are accomplished from the meaning. Therefore, what is mainly said is that one should not be arrogant towards the mind of enlightenment, which is "furthermore," and in relation to the instructions for definitely arising, it is the word "furthermore." "Practicing" explains the practice during the path. "Meditating" explains the correct arising at the time of individual realization. Therefore, "thus one should train" refers to not being arrogant itself, therefore one should train in this way. How can the mind of enlightenment not be arrogant? "Therefore" refers to the bodhisattvas, the mind that enters is the bodhisattva, and because it is in accordance with which mind, sentient beings are also called bodhisattvas. The word "also" is for a special meaning. Because of what that mind

It is superior to all, and even what the Bodhisattvas desire, one should not be arrogant about it, let alone other dharmas, this is what is meant to be expressed. Why is that? This is saying that one should not be arrogant about it. In what way? The answer is, like this, the mind is no-mind. The word 'mind' refers to pervasive calculation and discrimination. For the perfectly accomplished one, the mind of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, is the essence of the nature of reality, transcending all characteristics of pervasive calculation and discrimination, therefore there is no characteristic of mind. Therefore, it is said to be no-mind. Therefore it is said, the nature of mind is luminosity. The nature of reality, the nature of mind is luminosity, therefore it is no-mind, there is no mind of pervasive calculation and discrimination, this is what is meant to be expressed. How is it known? The nature of mind is luminosity, because the mind is neither truly associated nor not associated with desire and so on. In the state of ordinary beings, even at the time when desire and hatred and so on arise, it is not stained by all defilements like the sky, therefore it is said to be not associated. Again, for those who have become Buddhas, the mind is not associated with sudden afflictions, therefore it abides in its own nature of purity, and does not generate those defilements again, therefore it is luminous. Like the sky that is not stained by clouds and so on, it is not separate. Because if it was truly associated before, then it would also be separated later. Because even in the state of having defilements before, it is also pure in its own nature, therefore it is not truly associated with them, so it is said that it is also not not associated with them later. Venerable Subhuti, what do you think? Does that mind that is no-mind exist? What does this mean? Like this, that mind, is to the Venerable Subhuti's

In some cases, because it is expressed by the word "mind," the nature of no-mind will lead to the mind being existent. Therefore, one should ask, and therefore, the venerable Subhuti said: The nature of mind or the nature of consciousness, say that this exists. However, with the nature of being inexpressible, with an extremely pure name, to abide at that time. Otherwise, it is impossible to name it. Following the previous power, saying "mind" is saying "no-mind," that is his intention. Venerable Sariputra, what do you think, no-mind itself, that no-mind itself, is it existent or non-existent, or will it come or become an object? That is to say, in the state of no-mind, whether existent or non-existent, one should not say, because it is close to two extremes. That is his intention. That is why it is said: Venerable Subhuti, that is non-existent. That is to say, Venerable Subhuti does not appear again. If at that time, because of the fear of two extremes, one cannot say either way, why ask that way? Is the refutation you have raised reasonable? After saying that, Venerable Sariputra said: If existence itself and non-existence itself do not exist. Even so, the nature of no-mind will not exist, why say no-mind? With that intention, he said: Venerable Subhuti, what is that no-mind itself? Then, Venerable Subhuti, considering other no-mind natures, said no-mind. However, because it previously existed in a defiled state and changed, and because of making distinctions, it arose from that no-mind itself. Now, on that, admitting that it is merely no mind, so saying no-mind. That is why it is said: Venerable Sariputra, that no-mind is unchanging, without distinctions. That is to say, like the previous state of mind, changing and distinguishing.
