It is the emptiness of self-nature. "Without covering" is another name for it. The sky is the path of the stars. "Without covering" is called the place of non-form that is not covered on the earth, some say. In the utterance of what is to be protected, saved, and hidden, "what" means what is it like? Kauśika, if it is so, it is because all dharmas are not perceived. Kauśika, furthermore, etc., the Prajñāpāramitā is of two kinds: transcendental and pure worldly. It is also said that a Bodhisattva who dwells in the realm of non-discrimination sees all dharmas as equal to the expanse of the sky with the wisdom that has no difference between what is to be known and what is known. Having attained it, one sees all dharmas as equal to illusions, mirages, and reflections of the moon in water. Therefore, what is said by intending the transcendental is Kauśika, what do you think, etc., that is, just as with sound, even if there is no cave, it appears, so if there is the nature of the perfectly established emptiness of two, then all dharmas appear as the nature of non-existent two. What is to be protected for one who knows it in this way? This is the meaning. Therefore, because all dharmas are like caves, therefore, they should not be arrogant by appearing in things.

That is to say, like "these are their names" and so on. The so-called "by names, words, and letters" means by the collection of names, the collection of words, and the collection of letters. Among them, a name refers to what can express the nature of things themselves. For example, like eyes, ears, gods, and humans, and so on. A word refers to a special word, such as "all actions" and so on. Letters refer to the letters that serve as the basis for both, such as A (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿), Ā (藏文:ཨཱ,梵文天城体:आ,梵文罗马拟音:ā,汉语字面意思:阿), I (藏文:ཨི,梵文天城体:इ,梵文罗马拟音:i,汉语字面意思:伊), U (藏文:ཨུ,梵文天城体:उ,梵文罗马拟音:u,汉语字面意思:乌), and so on. The so-called "already indicated" means that it was created for the purpose of indicating. The so-called "this chapter" refers to the pure chapter. The so-called "completely asked and completely inquired" means that in the old emptiness scriptures, it is recited with the sound of "has become." That reason is because the gods speak to each other. In other worlds, after seeing the Buddha's teachings in this way, they speak to each other. The Buddha's teachings are also seen through the blessing of the Buddha and then spoken to each other. What is said like this is "in this place" and so on. Here, one should also refer to "these names" and so on. Authorizing the Buddha who has not yet come, and again, seeing it through the blessing of the Buddha and then speaking these, like Maitreya Bodhisattva and so on. From this, it can be known that this shows the three times. The meaning of speaking to each other after seeing should be explained. Otherwise, in the later chapters, from "for what reason will Maitreya speak" to "the question of the venerable Subhuti will not be consistent." If the gods merely think that Maitreya will speak, then how will the venerable know at that time? It should be said like this. The chapter that mainly speaks of purity is the pure chapter, which is the eighth chapter. At the end of the previous chapter, the gods said Maitreya Bodhisattva and so on, and now it has been indicated that showing existence is unreasonable. In what way is it shown, wanting to ask, and the venerable Subhuti's

What is said is the Prajñāpāramitā and so on. Here, when the Prajñāpāramitā is shown, there are two kinds of close apprehension: the name of Prajñāpāramitā and merely the object to be expressed. Among them, what is the name of Prajñāpāramitā? Temporarily, what is said as Prajñāpāramitā is just Prajñāpāramitā. This is just a name, meaning that the characteristic of Prajñāpāramitā is empty of meaning, it is the nature of the name itself. How is it said that the nature of meaning is empty? It means that one cannot point out that this name is this, meaning that even if one closely apprehends the nature of the name itself, one cannot point out that this is its object by the nature of meaning. Just as the eye consciousness closely apprehends form, it is not so for the knowledge arising from sound. Why is it said that it does not exist? It means that the object of speech itself is what is called a name, meaning that the object of the nature of words is what is called a name, but not the nature of meaning. Although the nature of the name is not the nature of the meaning itself, the connection of the characteristics of what is to be said and what is said exists even in the ultimate truth, therefore one can understand the meaning by hearing the name. It is also said that it does not exist, which refers to the nature of what is to be expressed in the ultimate truth. Precisely for this reason, it cannot be pointed out by its nature. The meaning is that if any object is expressed by any name, it itself becomes related to that object. In that case, even those who do not understand the language will know that this object should be expressed by this sound just by hearing the sound. These two do not exist, referring to the nature of the name and the nature of the meaning. Temporarily, the nature of what is to be expressed and what is expressed does not exist by pervasive imputation. Because of the otherness of other-nature, even if it exists, it is still existence, even so, it cannot be indicated by it, therefore it is unreasonable to establish the non-existence of things here. Even so, the meaning will not be as it is
