I am not existent. As the name is, so is the thing not. Therefore, it is said that the two are non-existent. If it exists in that way, then for what reason, in what manner, after manifesting complete enlightenment and becoming a Buddha, would Maitreya also use these names, etc., to teach the Prajnaparamita? The intention is this: if there were a real connection between sound and things, then, the eyes, etc., shown by one Tathagata (Buddha) with eyes, etc., should also be shown by other Tathagatas with these same eyes, etc., to show the same meaning. If the meaning of the Prajnaparamita, which manifests complete enlightenment, is not connected with the sounds of Prajnaparamita, etc., then, how can this teaching, which does not rely on the connection with meaning, make the collection of names, etc., definite? Here, the Blessed One answers "like this," etc., the intention is this: when the nature of form, etc., is separated from the self-grasped and other-dependent nature, and appears with the nature of emptiness, then the so-called Bodhi is the same as all Buddhas. That is, the nature of Dharma-nature, which is the same as form, etc., and which is to be realized separately by each Buddha through their own wisdom, cannot be shown to others in the ultimate truth, but relying on conventional truth, for the benefit of sentient beings, the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, begin to teach. Otherwise, if one also enters into the Dharma-nature of form, etc., because it is not possible, then the manifestation is hidden behind. Therefore, relying on conventional truth, how the meaning is realized is how it is taught, and this is also shown by these names, etc., in the three times, therefore, Maitreya also manifests complete enlightenment and becomes a Buddha, and also uses these names, etc., to teach this meaning of the Prajnaparamita, thus it is reasonably taught. "For what reason," etc., is to show the proximate cause of the question, that is, Subhuti "like this," etc., the form of Dharma-nature, because it is naturally pure, therefore all the stains of proliferation are temporary.

They say that those who have not arrived cannot say that they are not emptiness, not bound, and not liberated, which is called "not emptiness." Some recite "not permanent, not impermanent." But the meaning is just like this. The abiding one and the true meaning of the one born of joy, speaking with the power of perfect qualities, is called "completely pure." "Form is completely pure" means that when form and other phenomena are not manifested by the nature of the imputed and the dependent, then it is called "not completely pure," because the nature of emptiness is completely manifested. Therefore, because the distinctions of form and so on are completely pure, the nature of all phenomena is completely pure, and it abides with the same nature as the Prajnaparamita, therefore it is said that form is completely pure, which means its complete purity. "Form is unborn" means that when, with the nature of dharmata, form is completely transformed, and birth, cessation, all afflictions, and complete purification do not appear, then, that form is completely pure, otherwise it is not. This explanation was not present in the previous Bhagavan mothers, but it is said that it was extracted and added from the great Dharma for the meaning of combining with Abhisamaya. It is called "space is completely pure" means that, just as in space, although there are sudden clouds and fog, there is no incompleteness of purity, because with the nature of self-nature, it is pure. Similarly, Prajnaparamita is also because it is not attached to form and so on. When Prajnaparamita sees all phenomena such as form, completely purified from the defilements of the imputed afflictions and the elaborations of discrimination, then, because it is separated from all objects of focus, it is said that the aspect of non-focus is completely pure. There are also others who recite the sound of "non-attachment," because of the complete purity, it closely shows the agreement of space and Dharma, and it is declared with non-attachment, which is "because space is non-attached."
