The merit accumulated by practicing the perfections, such as discipline, with objective attachment, as numerous as grains of sand, is less than the merit of rejoicing in and dedicating the accumulation of merit with non-objective attachment. To say "properly taking the precepts" means taking them respectfully, according to the ritual. Revealing faults means speaking from the perspective of shortcomings. Beating means pounding. Insulting means accusing with true and untrue faults. Accompanied by pride means "having." Drowsiness and sleep refer to drowsiness and sleep, and are related to "being suppressed by them." Among them, drowsiness means the mind is not suitable. What is the characteristic of drowsiness? It is that the mind is not suitable, because one must recognize one's own object. Sleep means that the mind involuntarily enters inward, exhausted, not entering through the senses such as the eyes. That is, the entry of the mind that completely depends on oneself is sleep. The rest is easy to understand. The chapter that speaks of rejoicing and dedication is spoken in this way, that is, the sixth chapter. Thus, having heard of the merit arising from offering, reciting, giving, etc., to the Prajnaparamita, rejoicing and dedicating, the venerable Shariputra, whose joy increased, praised this Prajnaparamita with sixteen words for the sake of increasing the joy of the other retinues as well, in order to accomplish the omniscient wisdom, and so on. From where is the omniscient wisdom accomplished? It is spoken in this way. By abandoning afflictions and cognitive obscurations, and accomplishing perfection through generosity, etc., this speaks of the stage of the cause. The stage of the result spoken of is "omniscience itself." The reason for this is "making it clear," that is, eliminating all the darkness of obscurations is elimination. This "doing" is perfect elimination. Or, the true appearance of all dharmas is making it clear.

That which is called "the maker of that" is the perfection of wisdom. Therefore, to pay homage to this is in the present tense. That which is called "worthy of being worshipped" is in each moment of the future. One phrase shows two perfections. Now, two phrases explain abandonment, which is called "without near defilement," because all obscurations and stains are exhausted. That which is called "not closely defiled by all the worlds" is because the stains of the three realms are exhausted. Now, three phrases explain wisdom, which is called "the illuminator," illumination is the true appearance of all dharmas, which is the maker of that. Here, two phrases explain two causes, which is called "making all beings of the three realms free from dimness," dimness is ignorance. Reversing that is the wisdom free from dimness. All means without remainder. The three realms are the true meaning of the three realms. Among them, that which is called "the maker of that which is free from dimness" means pervading the object. That which is called "dispelling all the darkness of afflictions and views" means that afflictions and views are afflictions and views. Those themselves are darkness, and they are all, and they are also those, and that which dispels them means that all incompatibilities are exhausted. All this explains the perfection of one's own benefit. Speaking from the perspective of the perfection of the benefit of others, it is called "the one who causes reliance," which is for those who desire all states. That which is called "the supreme maker," supreme is nirvana with remainder. Because it is the fruit of the aspects of enlightenment, it is the supreme of those. Nirvana without remainder is bliss, which is the maker of that. Or, transcendence of the world is bliss, which is the maker of that. That which is called "making the blind beings appear" means that as long as there is no transcendent wisdom, they are blind. In order to generate that for them, it is made to appear. That which is called "completely abandoning all fears and near harms and making them appear" means that the appearance of abandoning all fears and near harms is the transcendent path of meditation, which is the maker of that.
