How is discipline completely purified? It is said: "Undefiled," and so forth, means that having abandoned the particularly harmful practices of defeat, and not taking them up again, it is therefore 'equal.' Regarding pure conduct, there is no fault of being aged by seeing, speaking to, or associating with women, etc., which are causes of displeasure. It is not mixed with intermediate transgressions such as those involving confession, and therefore it has not become confused. Even very minor transgressions are not practiced, and therefore it is 'completely perfect.' 'Patience perfected' refers to the mind. 'Peace perfected' refers to the application. 'Initiating diligence' refers to aspiration. 'Without complacency' refers to initiating application. 'Without laziness' refers to application. 'Unwavering' refers to the continuity of application from higher to higher. 'Delighting in contemplation' is because one is very familiar with it. 'Having faith in contemplation' is because its qualities are truly shown. 'Having the power of contemplation' is because one turns away from the lower realms. 'Having contemplation' is because one is not overcome by the bliss of contemplation. 'Abiding in contemplation' is because one is completely without loss. 'Mastering contemplation' is because one is skilled in entering into it in a balanced way through the stages of gathering and scattering. 'Following' means that in order to attain single-pointedness of mind on the object of the Perfection of Wisdom as it has been truly taught. 'Not training in the training of hearers' means that abandoning all sentient beings and training only to tame and pacify oneself is not the training of hearers, nor the training of monks, and so on. Without the seven classes of individual liberation vows, the vows of a Bodhisattva will not arise. In order to show that the practice spoken of in the sutras is not the domain of all, it is said: From "Then, by the power of the Buddha," and so forth. The chapter spoken by Indra: It is the Indra chapter, the twenty-third chapter. The conclusion showing the benefits

Thereafter, the Blessed One said that how to abide away from idle talk and the deeds of demons, and how to abide in the individuals of the Bodhisattva Vehicle, and what equality should be taught, these will be done. That is, starting from "Thereafter, again," etc. "Yoga practice" refers to samadhi. "Learning" refers to repeatedly remembering the yoga of Prajnaparamita. "Cultivation" refers to entering into yoga without manifesting after learning. "Grasping what is not Dharma" refers to clinging to existence and clinging to non-existence. "Relying on combination" refers to following combination. How is it? The Blessed One said, starting from "This is" etc., until "to perfect contemplation as far as possible." Thus, starting from "Thus, here" etc., it means that what the Tathagata has said in other sutras that is reasonable, does not exist here. Profound means extremely abiding. Taste means desire. Small etc. refers to the three kinds of joy etc. arising from the pleasure of the body. The three kinds of extreme joy etc. arising from the pleasure of the mind. Because there is no ability to hinder the combination etc., it is said that there are three kinds of universal satisfaction etc. Speaking from the name means that if it is said "So-and-so's name, so-and-so's lineage, possessing such-and-such learning and qualities, there is such-and-such a Bodhisattva in such-and-such a direction," this will make him widely known in the world. Destruction means accumulation. The assembly of non-gods refers to piled up things. Having the nature of subjugation means those who subjugate with power. Will follow means to follow and accomplish in accordance with the precepts. Suchness means for the sake of obtaining the individual samadhis of Prajnaparamita as they are. Disagreeable means being the cause of the feeling of bodily suffering. Unpleasant means that the form is unpleasing.

It is for the sake of pacification. Displeasure is because of being fully associated with displeasure. Disagreeableness is because of not encountering pleasure. To quarrel means that a man's speech is properly composed. To dispute means to engage in disputes in the king's palace and so on. To fight means to hold sticks and so on. To scold means to suppress with words. If one does so, it is to please them by ascertaining things like, "You will be killed." To generate hatred is to think of harming. To harbor resentment is to generate anger. As for what, it refers to the conduct of giving paramita and so on. How, it is by the union of non-objectification. Therefore, learning is to completely abandon carelessness with kindness and wisdom. The chapter that describes the pride of a non-returning bodhisattva is the chapter on pride, the twenty-fourth chapter. Now, if one learns what, one learns omniscience? This is the question of the Venerable Subhuti. The Blessed One's answer is, Subhuti, if, and so on. Exhaustion means that because there is no difference, it applies to all dharmas such as form. This is the seventh of the signless, that is, if one learns the exhaustion of dharmas such as form, then one learns omniscience. Similarly, for non-arising and obtaining the very nature of space and space. For the realm of dharma and obtaining the very nature of the realm of dharma. For nirvana, one learns the very nature of nirvana of all forms and so on in every way. For what reason, this is Subhuti's question from the cause. This is the Blessed One saying, "Why would one learn?" etc., this is the Blessed One's question followed by a statement, or a question for the purpose of giving that cause. Subhuti, what do you think, exhaustion will not become exhaustion, it refers to the perfectly established nature of the imputed and other-powered, that is, suchness.
