Therefore, the manifestation of cultivating perfect knowledge, the Prajnaparamita itself is the virtuous friend, as it is said. The Bodhi to be accomplished is not merely the Prajnaparamita, because if the Paramitas of means such as generosity are lacking, then there will be no Bodhi, as it is said. How is it that the so-called "all" itself is only that one, and becomes the meaning of a collection of six? In order to subsequently show by truly showing those perfect natures, therefore it is the teacher. Before that, that itself is the path. Light is the wisdom beyond the world, great joy, that itself is those. Lamp is the six grounds such as the stainlessness of the path of diligent practice, that itself is those. Light is the appearance of daytime. That itself is also the various grounds such as the immovable path of effortless practice. The so-called protector is to completely protect from the fall of the Hearers and other grounds. The so-called refuge is to accomplish all the practices of the Bodhisattva. The so-called place is because it is the support of supreme bliss. The so-called friend is because, with uncommon characteristics, it is the place to attain omniscience. The so-called continent is because those who rely on it will not be conquered by the ocean of afflictions. Mother is because of holding and nurturing. Father is because of sowing seeds. The so-called knowing is because of seeing. The so-called realization is because it is the path of meditation. The so-called that is because the six Paramitas are the teachers themselves. The so-called Subhuti in this is referring to relying on the six Paramitas. With the Paramitas such as generosity, the Prajnaparamita itself attains perfection for the nature of the supreme fruit Buddha. In order to explain that the omniscience of the Buddhas of the three times arises from the six Paramitas, therefore it is said "past time" etc., therefore, the teachers themselves are also the lineage of these. Arising is...

Accomplishment. The Tathagatas of the three times are able to realize perfect enlightenment, and in order to indicate this by relying on the directly seen result, it is said, "I also." Why is that? This refers to the fact that there are many paths to enlightenment through distinctions such as aspects of enlightenment. Therefore, what is the enlightenment that arises from the six perfections? This refers to that meaning. The perfections arise from the collection of all distinctions of cause and effect, so it is said that everything should be appropriately summarized in these, which refers to "these," etc. The words such as the wisdom of the Buddha have already been explained. Benefiting all sentient beings means that after seeing actions such as giving, it is in order to lead others to enter the perfect Bodhicitta, etc. Now, the main point of the Prajnaparamita is explained, which refers to "for these," etc. Wanting to learn means that among all the objects of learning, the Prajnaparamita is the forerunner, because it is the cause of realizing perfect enlightenment. This is proclaimed, so why is that? This refers to the fact that being the forerunner means being in accordance with the entry of all perfections. Guiding means to correctly show to the ignorant. Skillfully guiding means that it is good for this. Correctly showing means that even for those with weak diligence, it has the correct majesty. Completely showing means showing the meaning of complete knowledge, and for those who have correctly entered, it is to generate correct great joy. Generating means that by realizing the first ground, one is not born into the lineage of the Tathagatas. Mother means that from the very beginning of understanding, it is correctly connected from above to above. Therefore, because of what this is guiding, skillfully guiding, etc., it is seeing. If one wants to walk without relying on others, it refers to the stage of conduct based on faith.

The term "wanting" is used because of the increasing excellence in attaining realization. The statement "One should study this Prajñāpāramitā" implies asking what the nature of Prajñāpāramitā is, and the answer is the nature of being without attachment. It is a nature that is unobstructed like the sky, because it is not found in the self-nature of all dharmas. Previously, obstacles such as the works of demons have been shown. Now, the ultimate unobstructed nature is spoken of as "all dharmas are peaceful, all dharmas are empty." The nature of being peaceful by the dharmas of complete imputation is the nature of all perfected dharmas, therefore they are empty. The words "Subhuti, if" and so on, ask this: "Bhagavan, if all dharmas are by nature peaceful and empty, then they do not later become peaceful, nor are they later to be made empty. So, how is it that such peacefulness and emptiness are completely defiled and how are they purified?" This question is like saying, "What do you think about this? Sentient beings from a long time ago," and so on, meaning: If all dharmas are peaceful and empty, then children, because they do not understand peacefulness and emptiness, will cling to the five aggregates and all dharmas as self and mine, and therefore will develop attachment, and attachment will lead them to strive to create meritorious and non-meritorious actions. Due to its power, they wander in samsara, defiled by afflictions and defiled by karma. Thus, through the fault of not understanding, one knows complete defilement. Later, when those people encounter a virtuous friend, through the power of hearing and thinking, they will realize the nature of truth and the nature of emptiness. At that time, in order to dispel the complete defilement spoken of in an instant, gradually, for the completely transformed dharmas of complete imputation, one understands purification.
