In order to dispel the doubts about the practice of the Bodhisattva's Prajñāpāramitā, the Blessed One, while embracing sentient beings, shows that Bodhisattvas, due to compassion, become conscious beings with conventional objects, and shows the practice of Prajñāpāramitā, such as "practicing in this way," etc. The arising fear is fear. The fear that truly arises is universal fear. Its continuity is having universal fear. The so-called "in order to gain the power of increase" means that by practicing Prajñāpāramitā, the habit of the power of irreversible wisdom and compassion increases, and the practice of Prajñāpāramitā, which sees the two truths of conventional and ultimate, is accomplished. Thus, from the power of wisdom and compassion, one's own path will not give rise to fear and non-fear, and will not truly arise in any place such as the solitary places of wild animals. Seeing the particularly pervasive solitary places of wild animals, one makes the aspiration: May my Buddha-field not become like that in all aspects. In order to realize the unexcelled perfect enlightenment, this is to show "gaining the power of increase." The others are also like this. What is said to prevent faith, etc., is what is to be said now. Depending on this, there is the word "other." The place difficult to walk is the solitary place. The solitary places of wild animals are the solitary places of wild animals. As in "deciding in this way," etc., the other power mentioned, which is close to benefiting all sentient beings and happiness, is "not arising," that is, because it does not arise. The so-called "will not know" means that even names, etc., will not be heard. The so-called "the root of completely giving away all possessions" means that completely giving away all possessions itself is good, and one rejoices in this. The so-called "also completely abandoning the body" means that for the sake of benefiting sentient beings and as a reason for completely seeking the Dharma, one also completely abandons the body.

Supplies are the robes and so on that must be produced in any case. Others are the necessities. Giving, which is called "may it become giving," is to show desire with some of my necessities for the benefit of sentient beings. Therefore, if they seek this as the purpose, then it is said, "may this become giving." Harmful intention is hatred towards sentient beings. Anger is harming those who are sentient beings and those who are not sentient beings. Hatred is related to placing it in the mind. The perfection of generosity is for the sake of giving up one's own body and so on. The perfection of ethics is for the sake of not harming others. The perfection of patience is for those who do harm for the sake of not being angry. The perfection of diligence is for the sake of keeping in mind the virtuous Dharma that is beneficial to sentient beings, and for the sake of making aspirations to benefit all beings in every way. In this place, the perfection of diligence is not applied in some cases. The so-called "nearness" means that the accumulation is completely fulfilled by the power of generosity and so on, which is in accordance with obtaining enlightenment. The so-called "water hermitage" means the hermitage abandoned by water, which is the water hermitage. The so-called "having the nature of not being afraid at all times" means that those who have the yoga of steadfastness and excellence have the power to protect all beings. The so-called "for the sake of cutting off all existence" means that the desire of the three realms has been abandoned. So, what is this called "water hermitage"? This is the meaning to be expressed. The so-called "if one dies of thirst" means that even at the time of death, I should not care about my own suffering and happiness, but should make aspirations to pacify the suffering of those sentient beings. This is the meaning to be expressed. The so-called "will be born in the world of pretas" means that for those who have the true karma to be born in the world of pretas, because of craving for their karma, they take it together at the time of death and tend to give the result.

That which is expressed as 'transformation' is water with eight qualities, namely: coolness, lightness, softness, sweetness, absence of unpleasant odor, purity, drinkability, and being beneficial; it does not harm the stomach or throat. 'Happiness' is a brief indication. 'Having bliss' means possessing and being connected with bliss. Because these possess the quality of encountering all bliss, it is called 'encountering all bliss,' which is a detailed explanation. 'Will be accomplished' means for the sake of generating accomplishment in all ways at the same time. 'Will occur' means for the sake of gradually attaining perfection. 'All' means in all places. 'Perfection of meditation' means because of abandoning the five afflictions, etc., and attaining the first dhyana, etc. 'The solitary place of sickness' means being afflicted by sickness. Because one has entered the stage of faith, one must revolve in samsara for three countless eons, so it is said that one should not contemplate long-term perfect enlightenment, i.e., one should not begin with such thoughts. If contemplating long-term perfect enlightenment is truly appropriate, why should one not do it? Because of doubt, it is said, 'Whatever is a moment of mind,' etc., meaning this: even in conventional truth, there is nothing called 'time' that is different from the continuum of moments of mind, because the moments of mind themselves merely arise individually and immediately perish, causing movement, so for whom is there length? 'Just this much' means the measure of a moment of mind. 'Without beginning' means to whom shall I revolve in samsara. 'Without end' means a moment that is separated from parts has no end. Thus, through this sequence, one should not generate the thought of difficulty arising from having to accomplish a long time; what is the reason? It is said, 'Many and long.' 'This end of no beginning' means no beginning refers to the future. Why should one not generate the thought of length? It is said, 'One moment of mind.'
