It is not that which is to be grasped. It is said that even the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas cannot truly know it. This verse is also said to have been added to incorporate the meaning of "the profound path of meditation." Furthermore, for the sake of benefiting the Bodhisattva Sadāprarudita, who does not regress, and for the sake of subduing future beings, he asks hundreds of thousands of questions about the profound and most profound places, and the Blessed One also prophesies, which is why, etc., is the first question. For this reason, it is because it cannot be shown by all forms, signs, and characteristics, therefore, please show the profound and most profound places. Not having doubt about the profound place is due to the main sign of non-regression, not for other reasons, this is the intention. All profound, is the meaning of answering twice. Place, refers to the fact that for these realizations, Bodhisattvas abide in non-regression, therefore it is a place. The discriminations of Prajñāpāramitā, etc., for the wisdom that has reached the other shore, that is Prajñāpāramitā, or the nature of the path, is for this reason. Having them separately means having them separately related, which means having their basis. Please show, means please indicate. In the verse of indicating, there is also the meaning of please indicate. Wanting to know means wanting to show without remainder. Now the Blessed One shows the profound place, that is with profound, etc. For all dharmas, being without the nature of parikalpita and paratantra, and being with the nature of pariniṣpanna, is emptiness. That is without characteristics, because the characteristics of that reasoning cease. That is without aspiration, because that reasoning has no aspiration for the three realms. That is without manifestation, because for them, they no longer create karma for other existences. That is unborn, because for them, nature.

Because of knowing the unborn nature. That itself is the absence of things, because there is no following after. That itself is detachment from desire, because for them, afflictions and predispositions are eradicated from the root. That itself is cessation, because for them, other existences cease. That itself is nirvana, because for them, habitual tendencies are eradicated from the root. That itself is becoming detached, because for them, the aggregates with outflows are exhausted. These and so on are the second questions. Subhuti, "form is profound" means that the suchness of form is spoken of here as form, because it is the very nature of perfectly established form. For that very reason, even the imputed form, because it is form, how can it be profound, since it is the very object of children's activity? As it is in suchness, it is said that form is profound. Whose suchness is it? It is said, "Subhuti, for them," and so on. However, suchness is not without characteristics, not the characteristics of form and so on, or not dependent on form and so on. How can the words of form and so on express the suchness of form and the suchness of feeling? In response to the doubt, it is said, "Subhuti, whatever is without form, this is," and so on. "Whatever is without form" means the imputed or the dependent. This is the very nature of the perfectly established suchness of form, which is profound. The meaning is that whatever abandons the imputed and the dependent form, the perfectly established suchness is separate from them. It is liberated from all aspects and cannot be expressed by the words of form and so on. Whatever imputed forms and so on of individual childish beings are not to be expressed by that and otherness, it is suchness with defilements, and for the sake of closely representing that state, the words of form and so on are fabricated and designated. Subhuti, delighted by the true teachings.

Please pray. The Blessed One, words such as "amazing." The meaning of meticulous is what should be understood by the wise. Liberation from form, also showing nirvana, etc., that is, the sentence "form is profound," is liberation from the imputed and dependent forms, and also shows that the form of dharmata is nirvana. These refer to emptiness, etc., as mentioned before. These are related to "which will be thought of, which will be measured, which will be definitely known." To be thought of means to respect the object of focus and constantly observe it, which is accomplished through thought. Making the mind equal is measurement. Complete observation is definite knowledge. If asked how to do it, therefore it is said, "I should abide thus," abiding means because of the complete certainty of action. One should learn because of practicing accordingly. Practice means reaching the ultimate in learning. Thus, it is according to the order of what is said. Accomplishment is through tranquility. Definite knowledge is through insight. Complete knowledge is through both. Good combination is through the diligence of tranquility. Effort is through the diligence of insight. Diligence is through both. The Blessed One himself asks, that is, "How much work will be done?" The answer is given by the Blessed One himself, that is, "For example," etc. Here, the causes for the arising of the discriminating mind of truly uniting with women individually are the practice of desire itself, the beauty of the woman's appearance itself, and setting a time together. Without these, there would be no very real union, and wanting to meet, and wanting to go quickly, and wanting to arrive there quickly, because there is no stream of desire aimed at it. Beautiful means that it arises because of beauty, so it is the qualities of beauty. The meaning of having is a-tsa-o. Powerless means without ability. One should practice in this way is a brief instruction.
