It is called "without end." Others, relying on intermediate meditation, those who have the concept of above, below, and edge, and those who have the concept of being boundless in the horizontal direction, become like this: with end and without end. Others are manifestly attached to various letters themselves, but not to the various meanings themselves. Therefore, they say like this: "Neither I nor the world is with end." In another way, saying that one sees only one past birth is called "with end." Others see and say that many past destructions and arisings, this is called "without end." Still others see only the future destruction, seeing and saying many past destructions and arisings, this is both "with end" and "without end." Because of various letters, as before, some see that I am with form. Others see those without form. Others think that the parts of the body are with form. Others think that the parts that are not with form, whoever speaks of form, this is called "with end." Whoever speaks of without form, this is called "without end." Also, the parts of the body are with end, and the parts without form are without end. Also, because of various letters, as before, saying that life is that body, and so on. Some see that I am with form, therefore saying that the body is me, how do these people speak of annihilation? These, like the power of intoxication, the mind itself is also the nature of knowledge and happiness, etc., they think that the nature of bodily pleasure, etc., the sutra says that this depends on form, up to this depends on consciousness. Whoever thinks of the formless self, they will say that life is other and the body is also other. To this, again, because of clinging to self as self, the sutra says that it speaks of the object of self and clinging to self, such as form, that is, those that depend on form, up to depending on consciousness. However, these places of view are all said to be unrecorded, even to say this. How could that be a single extreme?

Furthermore, it is not prophesied in the sutras either. There, did the Blessed One make a definitive decision with just one aspect? From "Is the world permanent or impermanent" to the question of "life is one thing, and the body is another." The Blessed One said, "This is not a definitive decision made to you by those who speak definitively. This is not meaningful to you, nor does it arise from the mind of the noble ones, nor is it capable of achieving the purpose of detachment. Because there is no direct perception of no death, I have not made this definitive decision for you. The decision I have made for you is: this is suffering, this is the origin of suffering, this is the cessation of suffering, this is the path leading to the cessation of suffering." This is to make you understand the meaning, until you directly see no death. Having thus pointed out the various views, how does the Blessed One understand and show it with all the perfect conventional wisdom? "Subhuti, it is so" and so on, saying to separate and close, saying to add and slander, these are their statements, as the cause of arising is said in the sutras, we have shown it. Having thus pointed out the nature of the conventional, in order to focus on suchness in the ultimate, thereby showing and proclaiming this wisdom. "Subhuti, furthermore, the Tathagata" and so on, for example, how to know form? In suchness, as it is. To establish in suchness means to say what is the only establishment of suchness, meaning what is suchness. Now, in order not to distinguish all the phenomena of the world and beyond the world, and all the noble dharmas, and the Tathagata and suchness, because of the nature of suchness, to show by way of gathering all the dharmas non-dually by the nature of suchness. "Subhuti, therefore" and so on. This suchness is the only suchness and so on. This is spoken extensively.

Suchness is the only one. How the dharmata of all dharmas is the only one. How all dharmas are of various forms, so it also exists. This is said to be free from many things and non-things. Whatever exists or does not exist that is different from multiplicity and all dharmas, being separate from them, is neither different from all dharmas nor non-different, which is the meaning of this. As it is said, 'How it is like this,' means because it is not one and because it is not different. If suchness were to exist as one nature together with all things, then at that time, seeing all things, one would also see suchness, therefore, those who see things separately would also be liberated. Therefore, the intention here is that oneness together with all things does not exist. Difference itself does not establish the falsity of all dharmas, but duality-free nature is their falsity, which is also extremely different from them. Thus, after closely showing the defiled suchness of the forms and so on that are conceived by individual children, and the inexpressibility of thatness and otherness, the nature of complete purity and complete accomplishment is spoken of as being inexhaustible, and so on. Exhaustion means decline. It is not present at that time because it has abandoned all obscurations. Because it is unchanging, it is said to be taken out somewhere, which means that there is no difference in state. Because it is non-dual, it is said that there is no different dharma of things in that which is characterized by being devoid of things. Because there is one who can make it different, it is said to be non-dual. Thus, and so on, it summarizes the ordinary world by showing it truthfully, and in some books, after 'showing truthfully to the world,' there are words such as 'Subhuti, thus the Tathagata shows truthfully to the world,' and so on, until the mother who gives birth.
