What is said as "without characteristics," etc., refers to the absence of inherent existence. The characteristic of mind is grasping, and it is without that characteristic. The meaning is the nature of substance, and because it is devoid of those, that mind is invisible. What is said as "invisible" means that it does not appear to all eyes, and what is called mind is a conceptual designation, which does not exist by its own nature, because it is non-existent. That which is seen also does not appear to the eyes, therefore it is the meaning of "not appearing." What is meant by "three" are the eyes of flesh, the eyes of gods, and the eyes of wisdom. "All" also includes the eyes of Dharma and the eyes of the Buddhas. In short, there are four types of eyes: those that grasp form, those that grasp ultimate truth, those that grasp conventional truth, and those that grasp all knowable things in all ways. Grasping form is also of two types: the result of karma and the result of meditation. Among these, the result of karma is the eye of flesh. The result of meditation is the eye of the gods. That which grasps ultimate truth is the eye of wisdom. It is for the purpose of attaining noble beings through the power of ultimate wisdom. The wisdom that grasps the reversed conventional phenomena, such as the truth of suffering, is the eye of Dharma. That which knows everything without effort is the eye of the Buddha. If a conventional form appears to a conventional eye, then the Thus-Gone One knows that it is empty of inherent existence. Because its nature is empty, it is said that it does not appear to all eyes. In previous texts, it was read as "three" instead of "all." Among these, the eyes of Dharma and the eyes of the Buddhas are included within the eye of wisdom by means of the pure wisdom of conventionality. Furthermore, what is said is that the wisdom, Dharma, and Buddha eyes grasp the meaning of existence correctly, therefore the mind that does not appear, the eyes of flesh and the eyes of the gods do not grasp because they are not reversed.

This is the kind. The conventional wisdom of the Buddhas is not inverted, but the teachers say that, relying on the ultimate wisdom of the Buddhas, the conventional wisdom will not be inverted either. If the appearance of the conventional itself is inverted, then at that time the Dharma and the eyes of the Buddha will also have inversion. Therefore, like some magicians, transforming horses and other objects, the mind is separated from the object, so there will be no illusion. This is expounding the reason. Thus, for those who say that consciousness is like illusion, the Tathagata's wisdom is not an illusion either. The so-called emptiness of all dharmas is not the first to manifest such a nature, but later it is also said that the appearance is not confused. Therefore, illusion and mirage, the moon in the water have the same nature, things only appear as unreal phenomena, if the initial wisdom exists in emptiness like the sky, otherwise, Suchness is just a word. Therefore, the Blessed One said that the conventional realm is not inverted wisdom, because it is initially entered by the power of the wisdom that realizes the ultimate truth of emptiness. How to tell the recitation of the Great Mother Sutra? Subhuti, here the mind of the appearance of the five eyes of the Tathagata will not appear, therefore, the former is faultless. The so-called obstruction refers to the consciousness of form, etc. of ordinary people who are obstructed by walls, etc. The so-called universally imputed on non-existence, etc., refers to those who follow the conventional object, follow the object of individual determination, those are empty of self-nature, because they are universally imputed on non-existent things. There are two kinds of non-existent things, and it is said that these are universally imputed. The so-called unobstructed ones refer to those who have supernatural powers.

It is not obscured by walls, etc. Becoming non-dual means that it is the very nature of emptiness itself. Because it arises universally without arising, that is, it does not truly arise with a true nature. Those called supreme are the distinctions of those who have entered the practice of enlightenment, such as warmth and peak. What is called the supreme mind, such as how it is, is not the supreme in the ultimate sense, because it is free from arrogance due to the nature of emptiness. Those called unsurpassed are devoid of distinctions at all times when samsara is without essence, therefore it is itself without elaboration, because even the slightest mind is not perceived, therefore in some places it is recited that "because even the slightest mind is not perceived," there is the remainder of the word "no." Those called unequal are the afflictions of the mind, because they are spoken of and truly possessed. What is called unequal is that the unequal is equal to the realm of phenomena, because in the ultimate sense it enters into that itself. What is called unequal is what is not equal in conventional truth. Or it is unequal because it is diverse or because it is itself. Those called equal are virtues, because they truly possess virtuous samadhi. What is called equality and equality is abiding in the equality of all phenomena. It enters equally by its object and ultimate nature. Likewise, these are like the sky. Those called liberated are that ordinary beings are bound by afflictions. What is called naturally liberated is because the nature is free from defilement. Therefore, it is itself of the nature of non-things. There is also a recitation of "the nature of no-self," and the meaning is the same. Those called liberated are that the noble ones possess liberation, because they are not perceived by the ultimate wisdom of the Tathagata.
